Objective:
The objective of the Conference is to evaluate
the public policies of European countries from
the second half of the 20th century to today
to determine if human rights is a distinctive
European element on the international
scene. With this aim, the framework theme
of the congress is formulated on three lines:
• The connection of the policy of cooperation
to the development of human rights.
• The responsibility of states and European
companies in the promotion of human rights
in international relations.
• The guaranties of social rights as a
differential European factor.

Objetivo:
El objetivo del Congreso es hacer una
evaluación de las políticas públicas de los
países europeos desde la segunda mitad
del siglo XX hasta nuestros días para poder
determinar si los derechos humanos son un
elemento distintivo europeo en la escena
internacional. Con este propósito, el tema
marco del congreso está articulado alrededor
de tres líneas:
• La vinculación de la política de cooperación
al desarrollo a los derechos humanos.
• La responsabilidad de los estados y las
empresas europeas en la promoción de
los derechos humanos en las relaciones
internacionales.
• Las garantías de los derechos sociales
como factor diferencial europeo.
