Subject: Exploring new ways to engage social actors in OAS activities
As part of the further development of electronic participation (e-participation)
mechanisms to foster civil society engagement in the activities of the
Organization of American States (OAS), the Summits of the Americas
Secretariat (SAS) and the Department of International Affairs (DIA) would like
to invite you to complete a brief survey on the use of e-participation
mechanisms, such as the Summits Virtual Platform (SVP).
The SVP recently concluded its initial phase, which has provided first-hand
findings on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to
promote and facilitate social actor participation in the OAS. If you are
interested in additional information on the case study of the initial phase of the
SVP and other relevant documents, please visit the SVP website.

Como parte del desarrollo de mecanismos de participación electrónica (eparticipación) para continuar involucrando a la sociedad civil en las actividades
de la Organización de los Estados Americanos (OEA), la Secretaría de Cumbres
de las Américas (SCA) y el Departamento de Asuntos Internacionales (DIA) le
invitan a completar una breve encuesta sobre el uso de mecanismos de eparticipación, tales como la Plataforma Virtual de Cumbres (PV de Cumbres).
La PV de Cumbres recientemente concluyó su fase inicial, brindando resultados
de primera mano sobre el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la
Comunicación (TIC) para promover y facilitar la participación de actores
sociales en la OEA. Si le interesa obtener mayor información sobre el caso de
