FORO MUNDIAL “Pascual Carrión” SOBRE LA REFORMA AGRARIA (FMRA)
Los nuevos desafíos para la gestión del espacio y el acceso a los recursos
naturales en el siglo XXI

El FMRA es un espacio para el diálogo, el intercambio de experiencias, la reflexión, la
construcción de procesos y propuestas, donde organizaciones agrarias y sociales,
expertos, ONG’S, e instituciones gubernamentales provenientes de diversos
continentes abordarán la cuestión de la tierra y el acceso a los recursos naturales,
planteando la influencia de las Reformas Agrarias en los procesos sociales y
económicos que tratan de alcanzar la soberanía alimentaria, la realización de
derechos humanos y crear las condiciones necesarias para el desarrollo sostenible de
la población mundial.
El FMRA se inscribe en la dinámica de foros temáticos generada por el espíritu de Porto
Alegre y hace suya la Carta de Principios del Foro Social Mundial.

Les nouveaux enjeux sur la gestion de l’espace et l’accès aux
ressources naturelles au XXIème siècle

Le FMRA se veut un espace pour le dialogue, l’échange d’expériences, la réflexion, la
construction de processus et de propositions. Ce Forum prétend qu'organisations
agraires et sociales, experts, ONG et institutions gouvernementales de différents
continents puissent aborder la question de la terre et étudier l’influence des réformes
agraires sur des processus sociaux et économiques qui visent à la souveraineté
alimentaire, à la réalisation des droits de l’homme et à la création des conditions
nécessaires pour un développement durable de la population mondiale.
Le FMRA s’inscrit dans la dynamique de forums thématiques générée par l’esprit de
Porto Alegre et il assume la Charte de Principes du Forum Social Mondial.

THE “Pascual Carrión” WORLD FORUM ON AGRARIAN REFORM (WFAR)
New challenges for land management and access to natural
resources in the 21st century
Valencia, Spain, from the 5th-8th of December 2004
WFAR identifies itself as a space for dialogue, exchange of experiences and reflection,
as well as for the construction of processes and proposals, where agrarian and social
organisations, experts, NGOs and governmental organisations from various continents
will address the question of land, positing the influence of agrarian reforms in social and
economic processes aimed at attaining food sovereignty, the fulfilment of human rights
and the creation of conditions necessary for world sustainable development.
WFAR is set in the dynamic of thematic fora arising out of the spirit of the Porto Alegre
World Social Forum and adopts it’s Charter of Principles.
