En nuestra finca en Chiriquí los animales pastan en plantaciones de teca
certificada por FSC. Pueden caminar
durante todo el día y así se ponen fuertes y quedan sanos. En las noches
duermen en las galeras para protegerlos de los coyotes y los murciélagos
vampiros. Comen grama, hierbas y el
forraje que producimos en la granja.
Se deleitan en los mangos, guineos y
marañones que crecen en la finca.
Todo eso es digerido y dejado en la
cama de las galeras de cáscara de
arroz, aserrín y viruta. Ahí lo recogemos y lo llevamos a la lombricultura.
Las lombrices rojas de california lo
aman y se comen a través de todo eso.
Nosotros les ayudamos en darle
vueltas y airar la materia, y la movemos
de un cubículo al próximo. Después de
diez cubículos y tres meses tenemos
un hermoso compost color marrón que
huele a tierra. Mientras, nuestro encargado de la lombricultura ha producido
carbón orgánico de los deshechos del
aserradero y de la carpintería y lo agrega al compost. ¡Y listo! ¡El mejor abono
orgánico de Panamá, o tal vez del mundo – libre de antibióticos y hormones!

Ahora estamos produciendo suficiente
para poder compartir ese fabuloso producto con usted. Todo lo que tiene que
hacer es mezclarlo con la tierra de su
jardín (también vendemos mezcla ya
preparada de nuestra finca) o distribuirlo a ratos hasta 4 cm alrededor de sus
plantas preferidas, echarle agua,
recostarse y verlas crecer!

All this is digested and dropped onto
the litter in the stables (rice husks,
sawdust and wood shavings) where
we collect it and take it to the worms.
The red California compost worms love
it and eat their way through it all. We
help them by turning and aerating the
open piles regularly by hand and moving it along from one cubicle to the
next. After ten cubicles and three
months, we have beautiful brown compost that smells of earth. In the meantime, our worm-farm boss has produced organic charcoal from the wood
waste from the sawmill and the carpenter’s workshop which he adds to
the compost. And hey presto! We have
the best organic fertiliser in Panama, if
not in the world – free of antibiotics
and hormones!
We are now producing enough to be
able to share this fabulous product with
you. All you have to do is mix it with
your garden soil (the mixture is also
available from our farm) or distribute
from time to time up to 1.5 inches
around your favourite plants, water
them, sit back and watch them grow!

We have a farm in Chiriquí, where
sheep and goats graze in FSC-certified
teak plantations. They walk around
every day and become strong and stay
healthy. And at night they sleep in
closed pens to protect them from the
coyotes and the vampire bats. They
eat grass, herbs and the forage we
produce on the farm. They gorge on
the mangoes, bananas and cashew
fruits that grow on the ranch.
We deliver to certain points along the Interamericana between David and
Panama City. Other pick-up locations can be agreed. A cost-price delivery
fee will be charged to further locations.
Prices for large quantities, other packaging or picked up at the farm in San
Juan (Chiriquí) are available. Payable on delivery.

Este líquido producido por nuestras lombrices californianas de compost contiene calcio,
magnesio, fosfato y nitrógeno en su forma natural. Es un abono sumamente efectivo sin
ser agresivo a las plantas. Sus características positivas incluyen: / The liquid produced

nitrogen. It is a highly effective yet mild fertiliser. Its positive properties include:
 Puede ser usado como abono orgánico, una parte disuelta en 10 partes de agua
(de lluvia), para regar la planta alrededor de la zona de raíz cada dos semanas. /
Can be used as an organic fertiliser diluted with 10 parts (rain) water around the
plant root zone (apply fortnightly).
 Actúa como fungicida natural e insecticida, una parte con 30 partes de agua (de
lluvia) para chispear las hojas. / Acts as a natural fungicide and insecticide with 30
parts (rain) water to spray the leaves.

Mezclado con molasa (en el súper o tienda agrícola) el estiércol líquido de lombriz se
convierte en el famoso té de lombriz. Como ese té no es estable y no se deja almacenar, tiene que ser mezclado por el mismo consumidor.
Mixed with molasses (from the supermarket or an agroshop), the liquid worm manure
becomes the famous worm tea. As this worm tea is not stable and cannot be kept, it has
to be mixed by the consumer.

las piezas de madera de manera tradicional en nuestra finca y las dejamos enfriar
suavemente. De rápido encendido, no necesita un acelerador. Las cenizas sirven como
abono para su jardín. / Charcoal made of FSC-certified wood from our plantation. We
glow the pieces of wood in a traditional way on our farm and cool them gentle. It ignites
easily and does not need an accelerant. The ashes can be strewn in your garden as
fertiliser.
