ECON 100 AREAS OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE USP COURSE DUKE-IN-MADRID OBJECTIVES The aim of this course is for students to become familiar with the evolution of world trade from a Spanish perspective, as well as the determining factors which influence said commerce over time. Upon completion of the course, students should know how to do an analysis of foreign trade and should be able to work effectively in the international department of any multinational company. METHODOLOGY AND EVALUATION There will be both lecture and discussion-oriented classes. Students will be evaluated based on several written tests, a case study, and a final exam. PREREQUISITES Prior to taking this course, students should be familiar with international economic organisms, as well as trade statistics, and some international economic and macroeconomic theory.
