Importancia de la invención del microscopio
Los instrumentos ópticos tienen en su interior una o varias lentes que amplían la imagen del objeto
que se desea observar.
Binoculares
También llamados prismáticos o gemelos, constan de dos anteojos idénticos que se pueden enfocar al
mismo tiempo, por medio de una ruedecilla (tornillo o mariposa) y también del forma independiente
para cada ojo.
Cada uno de los dos anteojos contiene una pequeña lente cóncava o divergente, llamada ocular; una
lente convexa o convergente más grande que la anterior, llamada objetivo, y dos prismas que se usan
para desviar el recorrido de la luz y conseguir que la imagen final aparezca en el sentido correcto y no
invertida.
Telescopio
Con él se pueden observar imágenes amplificadas de objetos muy distantes. Los primeros telescopios
tenían dos lentes convergentes y su objetivo era muy grande, con el fin de captar mucha luz. Aunque
éstos se siguen utilizando, actualmente se emplean los telescopios de refracción o refractores y los
telescopios de reflexión o reflectores, en los cuales se sustituyen algunas de las lentes por espejos.
Así se consigue mayor nitidez con un peso menor, ya que loes espejos pueden ser muy finos.
Microscopio
Se utiliza para tener una imagen muy aumentada de objetos minúsculos o detalles muy pequeños de
los mismos. Existen diferentes tipos de microscopios, uno de ellos es el óptico o compuesto. Contiene
más de una lente y está conformado principalmente por tres sistemas: mecánico, óptico y de
iluminación. La lente que se encuentra más cercana se llama ocular y la que está próxima a la
preparación se le llama objetivo De tal manera que el funcionamiento del microscopio ocurre cuando
los rayos de luz pasan del diafragma al lente condensador y se proyecta sobre la preparación, luego
penetran al lente objetivo y éste proyecta una imagen aumentada en el lente ocular, donde es captada
por la retina del ojo del observador.

Las palabras anteriores son las cuales, los alumnos deberán reconocer para el concurso de “Spelling Bee” del
2015.
El procedimiento del concurso se describe a continuación:
1) Habrá una selección de alumnos semifinalistas dentro del salón de clase.
2) El alumno deberá deletrear y decir el significado de 3 palabras elegidas al azar de la lista anterior. Cabe
mencionar que el significado es totalmente en inglés.
3) En la etapa final, el 1º, 2º y 3º lugar se asignará tomando en cuenta la rapidez, fluidez y
seguridad del alumno.
Nota: Posteriormente se comunicará la fecha o fechas asignadas para la selección de alumnos
semifinalistas y la fecha para alumnos finalistas.
