JOINT STATEMENT BY THE
UNITED STATES LIBERTARIAN PARTY AND THE
INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY PARTY OF SPAIN
COMUNICADO CONJUNTO DEL PARTIDO DE LA
LIBERTAD INDIVIDUAL (P-LIB) Y EL PARTIDO
LIBERTARIO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS
Madrid, 6th November, 2013. The United States
Libertarian Party Chair, Mr Geoffrey Neale, has
arrived to Madrid, where he will have several
meetings with the leadership of the Spanish
equivalent, the Partido de la Libertad Individual
(Individual Liberty Party).
Madrid, 6 de noviembre de 2013. El presidente
del Partido Libertario de los Estados Unidos,
Geoffrey Neale, ha llegado a Madrid para mantener
diversas reuniones con la dirección del partido
homólogo español, el Partido de la Libertad
Individual (P-LIB).
U.S. and Spanish libertarians share common values,
and they strongly favor civil liberties, economic
freedom and an extremely limited government.
Both political parties believe in the need to join
forces in the struggle for individual liberty and
against both right wing and left wing collectivism.
Los liberal-libertarios españoles y estadounidenses
comparten valores comunes y apoyan firmemente
los derechos civiles, la libertad económica y la
reducción del Estado a su mínima expresión. Ambos
partidos creen en la necesidad de unir sus
esfuerzos en la lucha por la libertad individual y
contra el colectivismo tanto de la derecha como de
la izquierda.
The U.S. Libertarian Party and Spain’s Individual
Liberty Party have agreed to work towards their
common interest and shared values, in order to
spread libertarian views internationally, and to
further strengthen their cooperation.
Founded in 1971, the Libertarian Party is the third
largest political party in the United States of
America, and its presidential candidate, former
New Mexico governor Gary Johnson, obtained over
1,3 million votes in 2012.
Spain’s Individual Liberty Party is the new party for
classical liberals and libertarians. It was founded in
2009 and ran at the 2011 general election in the
constituencies of Madrid and Zaragoza.
The Spanish party has organized a central political
event for this visit, and Chairman Neale will deliver
the key note speech. This will be today at 19:00 at
Hotel VP El Madroño, c/ General Díaz Porlier, 101.
El Partido Libertario estadounidense y el Partido de
la Libertad Individual español han acordado
trabajar en persecución de sus intereses comunes y
de los valores que comparten, a fin de promover
los valores liberal-libertarios internacionalmente,
así como estrechar su colaboración.
Fundado en 1971, el Partido Libertario es las
tercera fuerza política de los Estados Unidos de
América. Su candidato a la Presidencia de ese país,
el ex gobernador de Nuevo México Gary Johnson,
obtuvo en 2012 más de 1,3 millones de votos.
El Partido de la Libertad Individual es el nuevo
partido español de los liberales y libertarios.
Fundado en 2009, participó en las elecciones a
Cortes Generales de 2011 en las circunscripciones
de Madrid y Zaragoza.
El partido español ha organizado un acto central de
la visita en el que Geoffrey Neale pronunciará el
discurso principal. Tendrá lugar hoy a las 19:00 en
el Hotel VP El Madroño, c/ General Díaz Porlier,
