RESUMEN Un análisis del modo en que se produjo la recepción de la obra de Bourdieu en Argentina supone necesariamente tomar en cuenta las características particulares del campo receptor en sus diferentes estadios sucesivos. Para contextualizar el caso argentino, se comienza describiendo las relaciones de Bourdieu con América Latina. Luego se aborda la recepción de los primeros trabajos traducidos en los ámbitos de la sociología y de la antropología social, en el marco de las peculiares condiciones por las que estos atravesaron a partir de su institucionalización en los años 50, así como los difusores iniciales del pensamiento de Bourdieu en Argentina. Finalmente, se describe la influencia de Bourdieu en la sociología y en la antropología social argentinas actuales. SUMMARY An analysis of the way Bourdieu’s work has been received in Argentina necessarily involves taking into consideration the particular characteristics of the field of reception in its different successive states. In order to situate the argentine case in the appropriate context, the author starts by describing Bourdieu’s relationships with Latin America. Then, the paper focuses on the reception of the first publications translated both in the fields of sociology and social anthropology in the peculiar conditions they endured since their institutionalization in the fifties, and on the first promoters of Bourdieu’s thought in Argentina. Finally the author describes the influence of Bourdieu in current argentinian sociology and social anthropology.
