He was denied contact to a lawyer and his family since his detainment in 22nd of January 2017. He was not brought before the court of law within a period of time that is lawfully required. I demand that the authorities immediately provide Raúl Isaías Baduel with access to free and private communication with his family and lawyers of his choosing. Furthermore, I call on the authorities to guarantee his physical integrity. Finally, I urge them to ensure full respect for guarantees of due process for Raúl Isaías Baduel, particularly the presumption of innocence and immediate appearance before an impartial and independent court with the assistance of his lawyers.
