1 Objetivos Objectives
El principal objetivo de la muestra es proporcionar un espacio para la exposición,
discusión y reflexión sobre la utilización del lenguaje audiovisual (tanto cine como
fotografía) en la realización de trabajos de carácter antropológico. La muestra
expondrá, en formato digital los trabajos audiovisuales y en formato papel y/o digital el
material fotográfico, producciones resultantes de investigaciones de carácter científico
antropológico. Los trabajos seleccionados deberán contar con calidad técnica,
científica y académica, para que la discusión y reflexión sobre éstos sea lo más
fructífera y enriquecedora posible.
The mainly objective of the exhibition is to provide a space for displaying, debating and
reflecting about the uses of the audiovisual language (cinema as much as
photography) in the realization of anthropological works. The exhibition will show, in
digital form the audiovisual works and in paper and/or digital form the photographs, the
productions resulting from scientific and anthropological researches. The selected
works must have technical, scientific and academic qualities in order to have a rich and
rewarding debate and reflection.
2 Criterios de selección Selection criteria
Los documentales audiovisuales y los ensayos fotográficos seleccionados para
exposición serán valorados en función de los siguientes criterios:
- Relevancia científica.
- Relevancia e importancia de las cuestiones sociales abordadas.
- Calidad técnica y sentido estético.
The selected audiovisual documentaries and the photographs essays for the exhibition
will be judged based on the following criteria:
-Scientific relevance.
-The relevance and importance of the dealt social issues.
-Technical quality and aesthetic sense.
Temáticas y Secciones Topics and sections
Tanto los documentales audiovisuales como los ensayos fotográficos enviados deben
ser producciones nacionales o internacionales originales que versen sobre las distintas
realidades socioculturales. Deberán tener como foco principal a personas, grupos
sociales y/o procesos históricos relevantes y relacionados con la ciencia antropológica.
La selección y exhibición estarán divididas en dos secciones oficiales:
a. Tema libre: temáticas que aborden cuestiones relevantes para la Antropología en
sus distintos ámbitos.
b. Madrid: temáticas relacionadas con cuestiones sociales de la Comunidad y ciudad
de Madrid.
The sent audiovisual documentaries and the photography essays must be national or
international original productions that touch the subject of the different sociocultural
realities. They must have as the principal focal point the people, social groups and/or
relevant historical process that are related with the anthropological science.
The selection and the exhibition will be separated in two official sections:
a. Free topic: they are topics that deal with relevant questions for the anthropology in
its several fields.
b. Madrid: they are topics related with the social matter in the city and the Autonomous
Community of Madrid.
La comisión de selección The selection committee
La comisión de selección de la Muestra estará compuesta por personal académico y
profesionales del ámbito de la Antropología y por personas expertas del mundo del
cine y la fotografía relacionados con las temáticas de la Muestra.
Todos los miembros del Grupo de Trabajo de Antropología Audiovisual del IMA tendrán
derecho a participar en el proceso de selección de la Muestra.
- El concurso podrá declararse desierto.
- El fallo del jurado se hará público antes del 15 de octubre 2015.
- La decisión del Jurado será inapelable.
- La presentación a este Concurso implica la aceptación total de las presentes bases
The selection committee of the exhibition will be composed of academic personnel and
professionals in the field of Anthropology and experts in the cinema and photography
world related with the topics of the exhibition.
All the members of the Audiovisual Anthropology Working Group of IMA will have the
right to participate in the selection process of the exhibition.
-The contest could be declared voided.
-The judge verdict will be public before the date of 15 October 2015.
-The judge decision will be unappealable.
-The participation in this contest involves the total acceptance of the present basis.
3. Requisitos de participación e inscripción. Requirements of participations and

- Pueden participar en esta Muestra todas las personas y colectivos de cualquier edad
y nacionalidad, a excepción de los involucrados en la organización de la misma.
- Cada concursante podrá presentar un único trabajo.

-In this exhibition can participate all the persons and groups of any age and nationality,
except the ones that are involved in the organization of this exhibition.
-Each participant could only present one work.
Ensayos Fotográficos Photographic essays
- Los ensayos fotográficos enviados para selección deben tener entre 4 y 6 fotografías.
Se anexará un texto informativo resumido, de no más de 500 palabras, que explique el
carácter del trabajo.
- Las fotografías y el texto informativo deben ser enviados a la comisión de selección
en formato digital a la dirección: maam@ima.org.es
- Las fotografías deben ser enviadas en un tamaño de 20x30, resolución de 300 dpi y
formato JPEG y el texto informativo en formato PDF.
- Los ensayos fotográficos seleccionados para exposición podrán (optativamente en
función de la organización final de la Muestra) ser enviados por los autores en papel
fotográfico en un plazo acordado posteriormente entre los mismos.
- Los ensayos tendrán una antigüedad máxima de 5 años.
-The sent photographic essays for the selection must have between 4 and 6
photography. It will be attached a summarized informative text, with no more than 500
words that explains the character of the work.
-The photography and the informative text must be sent to the selection committee in
digital format to the following address: maam@ima.org.es
- The photography must be sent in a 20X30 size, with 300 dpi resolution and JPEG
format, and the informative text in PDF format.
-The selected photographic essays for the exhibition can be sent by the authors in
photography paper (optionally based on the final Exhibition organization) in a
subsequently agreed period between them.
-The essays must have an age of no more than 5 years.
Documentales Antropológicos: Anthropological documentaries
- Los documentales enviados al proceso de selección deben estar en formato
mpeg/mp4 físicamente, a través de Click For Festivals o un enlace (Dropbox, vimeo,
otros) a la dirección maam@ima.org.es
- Los documentales serán presentados en castellano o subtitulados al castellano.
- La duración máxima de los trabajos será de 90 minutos.
- Los trabajos serán enviados en formato DVD/mpg2 para selección a la siguiente
dirección.

- La copia de los trabajos seleccionados será enviada en formato mpg2. HD a la

-La antigüedad máxima de los trabajos será de 5 años.
-The sent documentaries to the selection process must be physically in mpeg/mp4
format, through Click For Festivals or sent in the link (Dropbox, vimeo, others) to the
following email: maam@ima.org.es
-The documentaries will be presented in Castellano or subtitled in that language.
-The maximum length will be of 90 minutes.

4. Exposición y difusión Exhibition and diffusion
- Serán seleccionados 3 documentales por sección
- Serán seleccionados 3 ensayos fotográficos por sección.
La organización se reserva los derechos de difusión de las obras:
- En las jornadas organizadas por el IMA
- En las actividades y espacios vinculados al IMA durante el año siguiente a la
celebración de las jornadas.
- En el archivo/videoteca/mediateca del IMA.
-It will be selected 3 documentaries for each section.
-It will be selected 2 photographic essays for each section.
The organization reserves the rights of the diffusion of the works:
-In the conferences organized by IMA.
.In the activities and spaces linked to IMA during the following year of the conferences
that been held.
La organización de la muestra presupone que las productoras o realizadores que se
inscriben en el certamen detentan los derechos de exhibición de las obras que
presentan. En cualquier caso, la organización de la muestra se exime de cualquier
responsabilidad que pueda derivarse de la infracción de esta base.
The organization of the exhibition presupposes that the producers that have been
registered in the contest hold the exhibition rights of the presented works. In any case,
the organization of the exhibition gets an exempt of any responsibility that could derive
from the violation of this basis.
