“ Designing your tree”
(Bisabuelos) Are optional
1.Abuelos – Required starting point at the top of the tree.
2. Tíos

4. Hermanos
5. You! On the “trunk” of the tree with your picture and 3-4 sentences about yourself.
For writing about grandparents:
-Éste es mi abuelo paterno= This is my paternal grandfather
-Ésta es mi abuela paterna = This is my paternal grandmother
-Éste es mi abuelo materno= This is my maternal grandfather
-Ésta es mi abuela maternal =This is my maternal grandmother
For every person on the tree include these 4 things:
1)Éste es mi abuelo paterno.
2) Él/Ella se llama____.
3) Él/Ella tiene____ años.(Write # in words)
4) Also include where they live. EX: Él/Ella vive_____(City, State & Country in Spanish) **If
relative is no longer living write “Él /Ella se llama_____” and, “Él está muerto.” **
When writing your sentences about you…include:
1. The picture
2. A phrase that says “Aquí estoy yo” OR “Soy yo”
Sentences must include:
1.Me llamo____ (Your complete name)
2. Yo tengo_____ años. (# In Spanish words)
3. Yo vivo en_____. (City, state, and country in Spanish)
NOTE: -If you have 5 or less people in any group, you must list and mention each separately
on your tree with the 3-4 Phrases.
-If you have 6 or more people in any one family, then group them together .
Using these plural forms:
1) Éstos son mis tíos_____.
2)Se llaman_____.
3)Ellos tienen_____
4)Ellos viven en______.
NOTE: Bring things down in size whenever possible to fit everything within one side of you
poster.

For example:
One Quadrant for Dad’s side, 2nd for mom’s side
Titled: “La Bandera de la familia de mi papá ” (Dad)
Titled: “La Bandera de la familia de mi mama” (Mom)
-Bottom left will include 4 infinitives that you like to do with clip art or a picture next to each.
Titled “A mí me gusta___ (ar,er,ir), _____ (ar,er,ir),________ (ar,er,ir),_____ y _____(ar,er,ir).
-The last quadrant has 3-4 infinitives with pictures, titled “ A mi familia y a mí nos
gusta____(ar,er,ir),_____(ar, er,ir), ______y____(ar,er,ir). ( Followed by the infinitives with
pictures next to each.)

8-10 Sentences
1 Gustar/encantar sentence per paragraph only, no more
 Use CONJUGATED VERBS! You already know how, so do that throughout both
paragraphs. 

2) 2 Paragraph- Immediate Family
Parents/Siblings
 Name, age, description of them, and activities, use a time frame.
**Second half of this last paragraph, write about what you and your family do together, in the nosotros
form. (amos, emos, imos)
EX: Los fines de semana, mi familia y yo vamos de camping en el campo. También,
nosotros cenamos en un restaurante y vemos una película.
**DON’T COPY THIS**
Be original and clever.
And finally… Concluding sentence: Will be a general statement of how you feel about
your family.
**Remember, be creative, have fun and use a large variety of vocab words and
verbs you have learned this year. Good luck and be impressive!!! **
