MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER
This meeting was called to order by Ms. Deborah Hernandez.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes from the meeting in March were presented. Gerald Powell motioned to approve the
minutes and Manuela Ramirez seconded it. Minutes were approved.
PUBLIC ADDRESS
There were no public comments at this meeting.
SCHOOL REPORTS
Will Mellman and Elena De La Rosa reported on their school’s current activities.
COMMUNICATIONS
FINE ARTS: Ms. Julie Greathouse treated parents to a very fun and interactive presentation.
She demonstrated how the students are learning math and music in a fun way. Parents played
with rhythm sticks and learned to read some music notes.
LOCAL CONTROL ACCOUNTABILITY PLAN (LCAP): Ms. Hernandez gave a brief report on the
progress of LCAP. Parents then shared their ideas in a group activity. The information was
prioritized and collected to share with the LCAP committee.
PRESCHOOL – Parents participated in all DAC activities and discussions.
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ms. Hernandez presented a prize to both Las Palmas and Rancho for having the most parents
in attendance. She then distributed prizes and thanked everyone for attending.

INICIO DE LA JUNTA
La Sra. Deborah Hernandez dio inicio a la junta.
APROBACIÓN DEL ACTA
Se presentó el acta de la junta de marzo. Gerald Powell hizo la moción para aprobarla y
Manuela Ramirez lo secundó. El acta fue aprobada.
COMENTARIOS DEL PÚBLICO
Esta vez no hubo comentarios por parte del público.
REPORTES ESCOLARES
Will Mellman y Elena De La Rosa reportaron las actividades actuales de su escuela.
COMUNICACIONES
Artes Finas: La Sra. Julie Greathouse compartió con los padres una presentación muy divertida
y interactiva. Ella demostró como los estudiantes están aprendiendo matemáticas y música en
una manera divertida. Padres jugaron con palos de ritmo y aprendieron como leer notas de
música.
Plan de Control local y Rendimiento de Cuentas (LCAP): La Sra. Hernandez dio un reporte
breve en el progreso del LCAP. Padres después compartieron sus ideas en una actividad de
grupo. La información fue puesta en prioridad y rejuntada para ser compartida con el comité
de LCAP.
Pre-escolar: Los padres participaron en todas las actividades y discusiones de DAC.
ANUNCIOS GENERALES
La Sra. Hernandez entregó un premio a la escuela Las Palmas y Rancho por tener la mayoría de
padres presentes en esta junta. Después ella repartió premios y agradeció a todos por asistir.
