... It is the fith Spanish city in terms of population (around 700,000
inhabitants
... It is at a distance of around 300 km of Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona,
Bilbao and Toulouse
... It has more that 2,000 years of history (influence of Romans,
Muslims and Christians)
... It is close to the beach and the montains: in less that two hours
you can reach the Mediteranean sea or the Pyrenes.
... There are several important multinational companies: General
Motors (Opel), Inditex (Zara), Bosch-Siemens, Adidas, Valeo,
Boots Healthcare, etc.
... It is within the geographical center of the production of 80% of
the Spanish GDP

doctorate, in many different fields: Health Sciences, Experimental
Sciences, Social and Legal Sciences, Technical Studies, Humanities.
… It has a high research profile: for example, the supercomputer
Caesaraugusta, is located since February 2008 at the Faculty of Sciences.
It is one of the nodes of the supercomputer Mare Nostrum, that has the
higher computer power in Europe and the ninth of the world.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
... This Faculty has mobility arrangements for students in more that
20 different countries in 3 continents.
... During the last 3 years, an average of 140 international students
have studied in our faculty each year. They come with the
Erasmus program but also from Latin America or from the
program North-America, Oceania and Asia.
… Considering the total number of Incoming & Outgoing Students
this faculty is among the top-5 of the Faculties of Business and
Economics in Spain.
… The University of Zaragoza is the 14th considering the whole
European Union considering Incoming students.

ENROLMENT PROCESS
• You will have a specific date for going to the international
office for your enrollment: from 27th to 30th September
• You should select a maximum of 30 credits (usually 5
courses) per semester
• You can choose any course of the Faculty (except from the
Double degree). But please remember:
 The recommendations of your University
 The available information: schedules, exam dates, location….
• You can choose the group you prefer (except for some
elective courses and the English group courses- there may be
only one group)
• Once you select the group, you should go to class and do the
exams in that group
• Be careful, with the courses that have the same name in
Business Administration (ADE) and Economics (ECO)
• Changes can be made only the 21st
October

CLASSES AND EXAMS
Classes for the first semester start the 19th of September and they will last until
the 13th of January
Classes for the second semester start the 8th of February and they will last until
the 30th of May
You will have a specify Schedule for the 19th of September and the 8th of February
(presentation of the courses) and normal Schedule since following day.
Exams of the 1st Semester:
• 1st Call: 14th January – 7th February 2017
• 2nd Call: 19th - 30th June2017
Exams of the 2nd Semester :
• 1ª call: 1 – 15th June 2017
• 2ª call: 4 - 15th September 2017
Exams days can be found at: https://econz.unizar.es/te-interesa/horarios-yexamenes
Marks are published at:
notice boards of the departments (in this building at the ground floor)
Internet (personal password).
The transcript of records will be send to your University: 4 weeks after the end of
the exam period of the semester.
