Parents of students with disabilities are afforded certain rights and protections under the Individuals with Disabilities
Education Act (IDEA). As a parent, you are an important member of the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) Team, which builds
the framework for your child’s education. Therefore, it is important that you have knowledge and a good understanding of the
