Source: Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Volume 79 Author(s): Wanbo Li, Yongcai Qiu, Li Zhang, Lelun Jiang, Zhangkai Zhou, Huanjun Chen, Jianhua Zhou Aluminum-based localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) holds attractive properties include low cost, high natural abundance, and ease of processing by a wide variety of methods including complementary metal oxide semiconductor process, making itself having an edge over conventional ones induced by noble metal. However, the inherent drawbacks of plasmonic mode limited on UV–green wavelength, low refractive index sensitivity, as well as heavy-shapedependence greatly prevent aluminum plasmonics from real-life biosensing. ver más... Nanoestructuras jerárquicas esponjosas para el excelente rendimiento de sensores de etanol Publicada en ScienceDirect - Publicaciones Científicas sobre Nano-TICs, 15/05/2016 Publication date: 15 May 2016. Source: Materials Letters, Volume 171 Author(s): Yuchao Xia, Chuansheng Wu, Ningyu Zhao, He Zhang Hierarchical nanostructures assembled from one dimensional (1D) -MoO3 have been realized with the assistance of surfactants, but rare with metal salts. In this paper, we report the synthesis of porous -MoO3 sponges with nanorods as building blocks in a hydrothermal condition that contains CrCl3·6H2O. It is believed that chromic saltaffects the growth manner of -MoO3, resulting in hierarchical nanostructures. ver más... Optics is used in different ways in the detection schemes. Raman, fluorescence and infrared spectroscopies, plasmonics, second harmonic generation and optical tweezers are all used in applications from single molecule detection (both in highly diluted and in highly concentrated solutions) to single cell manipulation. In general, each optical scheme, through device miniaturization and electromagnetic field localization, exploits an intrinsic optical enhancement mechanism in order to increase the sensitivity and selectivity of the device with respect to the complex molecular construct. ver más... Síntesis fácil de nanocables mesoporosos de Co3O4 Publicada en ScienceDirect - Publicaciones Científicas sobre Nano-TICs, 15/01/2016 Publication date: 15 January 2016 Source: Materials Letters, Volume 163 Author(s): Huiyu Chen, Yanzhong Wang, Chunju Xu Mesoporous Co3O4 nanowires with length up to 5–10m were fabricated by a facile solution synthetic process and combined with subsequent calcination of the precursor at atmospheric pressure. The samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, and Raman techniques. It was found that the amount of initial cobalt salt played an important role in the formation of porous Co3O4 nanowires. The current method is quite simple and environment friendly, and can be extended to the synthesis of other porous nanomaterials. Due to the high specific area and mesoporous structure, these porous Co3O4 nanowires are expected to have potential applications in supercapacitors and lithium-ion battery with promising electrochemical performance.
