We have added gender transition services to your child’s benefit package in accordance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. 1 Your child is automatically eligible for these services The CHIP Program and Aetna Better Health Kids covers gender transition services such as physician’s services, inpatient and outpatient hospital services, surgical services, prescribed drugs, therapies, etc. when deemed medically necessary and appropriate.
