When you get to San Miguel make a left turn at the police station. Continue on this road through the towns of Rio Cuarto, Venecia and Aguas Zarcas (XXkm) . When you get to Aguas Zarcas, make a right at the corner before the church. There are signs for Arenal Volcano and Fortuna. Take this road for about 4 km. Look for a sign that says Tico Fruit or Arenal Volcano, take a left here. Continue on this road and go straight at the main intersection with the gas station on your right hand side and continue to a dead end. Make a left and continue to the next dead end at the town of El Tanque. Make a right turn and go for 7.2km. Go through the town of Fortuna and continue on this road for about 7.8km when you get to the Arenal Paraiso Hotel continue 400m and make a right hand turn on a dirt road.
