Cervical cancer develops in the tissues of the cervix and can be detected with regular
Pap tests. The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2014 about 4,020 women died
from cervical cancer, but it is a highly curable disease if caught early. The most common
risk factor for this disease is the Human-Papilloma Virus (HPV). We invite you to learn
more about cervical cancer, the latest research, guidelines, treatments and ways you
can prevent it.
