Each day of Holy Innocents’ Annual
Summer Day Camp for Girls is
filled with sports, arts and crafts,
cooking classes and dance! We will
pray the Rosary and visit the Blessed
Sacrament in the parish church.

When: Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 7.

What to bring:
A packed lunch everyday, sports shoes, bermuda shorts

The 1st District Office, Pacific Gateway and the City of
Long Beach will be hosting a Job Fair for people looking
for work, entry level positions, or summer internship,
booths for employers looking to hire, and booths for
community resources outreach.
This is a great opportunity for youth looking for a summer internship.

Every FIRST SATURDAY of the month, we gather in
the presence of Our Eucharistic Lord and pray for an
end to the massacre of the Innocents of our times by
abortion. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed on
the altar at 7:00 p.m. and Solemn Benediction is
given at 8:00 p.m. Can you not spend just one hour
in prayer with us? N.B., NO HOLY HOUR ON JULY
CONFESSION SCHEDULE
Wednesdays: 5:30pm; Fridays: 7:30pm; Sundays: 9am,
11am (school hall) and 3:15pm (i.e., after the 2pm Mass)
To arrange additional confession times, send a text to:
562-508-5284. State your desire to go to confession and
indicate the best times for you. YOU MAY REMAIN COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS. The priest will wait for you in the
confessional 5 minutes before the mutually agreed upon
time and leave the confessional 5 minutes after the confession has finished.

Tristemente, hay un numero creciente de sectas
nuevas que insisten que son 'Católicas' pero rechazan
la autoridad del Papa y las demás doctrinas Católicas.
Confunden a la gente no instruida que va en busca de
los Sacramentos de la Iglesia.
¡Cuidado con aquellas sectas! Y dese cuenta: un Católico debe asistir a Misa y recibir los Sacramentos solamente en una parroquia ‘registrada’ con la Iglesia
Católica, Apostólica y Romana. Si no, los llamados
‘Sacramentos’ recibidos no son lícitos en los ojos de la
Iglesia Católica, Apostólica y Romana.

TO OUR LORD ON THE CROSS
M
y crucified Jesus, mercifully accept the
prayer which I now make to Thee for
help in the moment of my death, when at its
approach, all my senses shall fail me.
When, therefore, O sweetest Jesus, my
weary and downcast eyes can no longer look
up to Thee, be mindful of the loving gaze
which I now turn on Thee, and have mercy
on me.
When my parched lips can no longer kiss
Thy most sacred wounds, remember then
those kisses which now I imprint on Thee,
and have mercy on me.
When my cold hands can no longer embrace Thy cross, forget not the affection with
which I embrace it now, and have mercy on
me.
And when, at length, my swollen and lifeless tongue can no longer speak, remember
that I called upon Thee now.
Jesus, Mary, Joseph, to you I commend my
