An update on redevelopment plans from the Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA)
The next Manning revitalization meeting will be on
Monday, May 18 at 6 pm in the community room.

All future meetings will be on the last Monday of the month at 6 pm.
Additional meeting notices will not be sent out -- the newsletter will serve as the notice.
Construction Manager Selected
Shawmut Design and Construction of Boston has
been selected as the Construction Manager at
Risk for the Manning revitalization project.
Construction staff from Shawmut will begin their
initial investigations and testing in vacant units
in the coming weeks, so do not be alarmed if you
see them around the building. We will notify you
if we expect loud noise or if they will be working
in any common areas.
It is anticipated that construction work in
apartments will not begin until early 2016.
Options Available for Anyone
Who Wants to Move Early
HUD has approved early relocation for any
resident who wishes to move to another CHA
development, move using a Section 8 voucher, or
move to an off-site apartment right away.
Please be aware that off-site apartments owned
and operated by other organizations are typically
only available for a very limited time.

Relocation Reminder
Temple Place Lottery Complete
The Temple Place lottery was held at the April
revitalization meeting and residents were
notified of their place on the waitlist. Those
people high on the waitlist have been or will
be contacted about next steps to vertify tax
credit eligibility. Those residents who are low on
the waitlist are unlikely to move up and should
consider other relocation options.
No one has to move out of Manning Apartments.
Everyone will have to move at least once.
No one will have to move before September 2015
unless they choose to.
Everyone will be notified of their moving date at
least 90 days in advance, and CHA staff will meet
with every resident prior to moving.
You can contact the Relocation Coordinators at
any time to change your relocation preference.

Shawmut Design and Construction of Boston ha sido

El sorteo de Temple Place se celebró en abril durante

contactadas (o lo serán próximamente) acerca de los

la misma y deberían considerar otras posibilidades de
reubicación
