Participate in the American Cancer Society’s historic Cancer Prevention Study -3 to
help find answers which may help your loved ones celebrate more birthdays.
Eligibility:
The Cancer Prevention Study-3 is open to anyone age 30 to 65, who has never
been diagnosed with cancer (excluding basal or squamous cell skin cancer), and
willing to make a long-term commitment to the study.

What Will I Need to Do?
•
Schedule your appointment at cancerstudyTX.org,
cancerstudyTX.org you will then receive a link to an
online survey.
•
Prior to your appointment, complete the comprehensive baseline survey online
sharing lifestyle, behavioral and other factors related to your health.
•
At your appointment (25-30 minutes), read and sign an informed consent form,
complete an enrollment survey, have your waist circumference measured and give a
small blood sample (similar to a doctor’s visit).
•
The blood sample will be drawn by a trained, certified phlebotomist. Complete
periodic follow-up surveys at home every 2-3 years for more than 20 years.
