March is officially upon us. We are looking forward to some warmer weather! Fairview
levels 3-5 will begin state testing this month. Look for more information in the next couple of weeks. The last week of March will be the district’s spring break. Are you looking

Apreciadas familias de Fairview,
Oficialmente, marzo está con nosotros. ¡Estamos ansioso por disfrutar un clima más
cálido! Los niveles 3-5 de Fairview, comenzarán a tomar los exámenes estatales este

Technology Fees
Payments can now be paid by Check, Credit Card or Cash in the main office if you still owe for your
student’s Technology fee.
Lost and Found
We have several pairs of glasses in the main office that have been unclaimed. If your student is missing
his/hers stop by the main office to see if they belong them. Glasses that are not claimed by March 4 will
be donated to Have –A– Heart.
PE is excited to announce a partnership with Bicycle Colorado. Bicycle Colorado will be coming to PE
classes from March 7-10. They will be teaching students how to be safe when walking and biking in our
neighborhood. They will be back in May for a Walkin’ and Wheelin’ Week to encourage our Fairview
students to walk and bike to school more. We are so excited to have them!!

Cuota de Tecnología
El pago de la cuota de tecnología de su hijo/a se puede hacer con cheque, tarjeta de crédito o efectivo en
la oficina principal de la escuela
Perdido y Encontrado
En la oficina principal tenemos varios pares de espejuelos que no han sido reclamados. Si su hijo/a ha
perdido sus espejuelos por favor, pase por nuestra oficina para ver si le pertenecen a su hijo/a. Los
espejuelos que no hayan sido reclamados para el 4 de marzo se donaran a Have –A– Heart.
Nuestro programa de Educación Física está feliz de anunciar una colaboración con Bicycle Colorado.
Bicycle Colorado estará en nuestras clases de educación física del 7 al 10 marzo. Ellos estarán enseñando
a nuestros estudiantes como mantenerse seguros mientras caminan y corren bicicleta en nuestro
vecindario. Estarán de regreso en mayo durante nuestra semana Walkin’ and Wheelin’, para estimular a
los estudiantes de Fairview a caminar y venir en bicicleta a la escuela con más frecuencia. ¡Estamos muy
felices de tenerlos con nosotros!

March ELD Update:
Our kids worked very hard on their WIDA Access tests! They all seemed very engaged with the computer based test this year.
We will now be pushing in to support classrooms and working with small groups
around student needs while developing important second language acquisition
skills.
Parent Tip:
Want your child to be good a reader? Let them see you read in any language.
Actualización de ELD para el mes de marzo:
¡Nuestros estudiantes trabajaron muy fuerte en sus exámenes WIDA Access!
Todos estuvieron bien involucrados con el examen por computadora de este año.
En estos momentos estamos proveyendo apoyo dentro del salón de clases y trabajando con grupos pequeños de acuerdo a las necesidades de los estudiantes, mientras desarrollan esas habilidades importantes para la adquisición de un segundo
idioma.
Sugerencia a los padres:
¿Quiere que su hijo sea un buen lector? Deje que lo vea a usted leyendo en
cualquier idioma.
