25th Anniversary of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
April 1st marks the 25th Anniversary of the Dedication of the
Blessed Sacrament Chapel. Since it is First Friday and First Saturday, we will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the
Main Church beginning Friday at 12:00 Noon and will continue
through Saturday 12:00 Noon I am asking that all of us take part
in this wonderful gift of having Our Lord present in the Eucharist 24 hours, seven days a week. I also encourage and invite the
members of our parish organizations to assist in covering an hour
during this special time.
Then I invite everyone to join me in praying the Divine Mercy
Chaplet (bilingual) on Sunday, April 3rd in the Main Church
at 3:00 pm along with Eucharistic Adoration, Procession and
Benediction. Please join me in praying for our beloved parish
community for our country and for the whole world.

San Jose Scholarship Gala:
The Annual San Jose scholarship gala, Casino Night, is taking
place on Saturday, April 9th at San Jose Church’s parish hall (2435
Oak Crest Ave. Austin, Texas 78744). All 21 years old and older
are invited to join us for an evening fun casino games!
All your favorite gaming tables will be open, including Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, and Texas Hold’em Poker. The event will
feature a Silent Auction with an array of must-have items, and
entertainment by DJ’s Nathan and Veronica Sharp. At the end of
the evening, you will have chance to enter the drawing for every
$5,000 in chips for the Casino Night raffle! Tickets are on sale; $30
for a single ticket or $50 per couple. To purchase Tickets stop by the

Men invited to consider diaconate
Have you recently become aware of a desire to deepen your faith
life, but not sure why? Do you feel that your heart is being moved
inexplicably in a new or bold way lately? Have you felt of late a
greater need to know Christ more intimately, or a growing desire
to follow him more fully, for some unknown reason? For no apparent reason, has your awareness increased recently of the needs
of the materially and spiritually poor - and perhaps even sensed
a greater desire to respond? Do you live a mature faith, love the
church, and follow church teaching, but have a nagging sense that
there’s something missing?
If you answered yes to some of these questions, and you are
a man between 30 and 57, the Holy Spirit might be calling you
to explore the permanent diaconate. Does that possibility excite
you? Scare you? Puzzle you? Whatever your reaction, talk to your
pastor about what’s going on in your heart. He’ll help you decide
next steps.
The diaconal formation class of 2022 will begin forming in
January 2017. Inquiry sessions are scheduled (in Spanish and
English) from 2-5 p.m., at these locations.

25 Aniversario de la Capilla del Santísimo Sacramento
1º de abril marca el 25 aniversario de la dedicación de la capilla del
Santísimo. Ya que es primer viernes y primer sábado, tendremos adoración
del Santísimo Sacramento en la Iglesia Principal, comenzando el viernes a
las 12:00 p.m. mediodía y continuará hasta el sábado 12:00 p.m. mediodía
estoy pidiendo que todos nosotros participaran en este maravilloso regalo

Promise is a spiritual support program for couples struggling with
infertility and miscarriage. Based on Catholic teaching, we combine the wisdom of modern medicine with the healing power of the
Catholic Church. We offer a women’s Bible study support group,
couples healing retreats and prayer services throughout the year.
Adoption Support: Destined: Families Built by Love is a spiritual support program and monthly playgroup for adoptive families.
Anyone who has built their family through the miracle of adoption
is invited to meet with other families to share the joys and challenges
of adoption and fostering. The playgroup meets once a month in
different areas of Austin.
