Please activate your new chip card as soon as possible. Once your new card is activated, your old card is no longer valid and should be destroyed. What’s an EMV Chip card? Your new chip card will work hard to protect you. When making a payment at a chip enabled terminal, your card creates a unique code for each transaction. This helps reduce the risk of fraudulent charges on your account and it reduces in-store fraud. NEW! Choose your own PIN You now have the option to select your own PIN (Personal Identification Number). 1) Call 1.866.762.0558 from your primary phone. (Don’t try to use your cell if you have your land-line phone listed as your primary number). 2) You will be instructed to enter your card number and the last four digits of the primary account holder’s Social Security Number. You then enter the PIN that you would like. The PIN changes immediately for any ATM transaction and most point of sale transactions. What if your favorite store isn’t quite ready for this technology? No problem. Your card can still be swiped using the magnetic strip. Small Chip. Big Benefits. With increased security, convenience and global acceptance, this little chip provides peace of mind on your everyday payments. Be on the lookout for your new Golden Plains’ VISA debit card towards the end of December or early January. If you have any questions about your new card, please contact us at 1.866.664.9364.
