Not by bread alone does one live, but by every word that
comes forth from the mouth of the LORD. — Deuteronomy 8:3b
The feast is liturgically celebrated on the Thursday after
Trinity Sunday or, "where the Solemnity of the Most Holy
Body and Blood of Christ is not a holy day of obligation, it is
assigned to the Sunday after the Most Holy Trinity as its
proper day. The Feast of Corpus Christi (Latin for Body of
Christ), is a Latin Rite liturgical solemnity celebrating the
tradition and belief in the body and blood of Jesus Christ and
his Real Presence in the Eucharist. It emphasizes the joy of the
institution of the Eucharist, which was observed on Holy
Thursday in the somber atmosphere of the nearness of Good
Friday.

FR. TES’ 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF ORDINATION
30 ANIVERSARIO DE LA ORDENACIÓN DEL
PADRE TES
All are invited to a meeting scheduled for Thursday, June
11th at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium to prepare for Fr. Tes’
celebration. Events like this are only made possible with your
support as a volunteer or with your donations. Let’s come
together as the great community that we are to thank Fr. Tes
for his spiritual support, guidance and sacrifices he has
undertaken for the good of this parish and the community of
Lincoln Heights. The celebration will be Sunday June 28th
beginning with Mass at 1:00 and followed by a reception in
the Auditorium.

7:00 p.m en el auditorio como preparación de la celebración
para el padre Tes. Eventos como éste son posibles sólo con su
apoyo como voluntario o con sus donaciones. Caminemos

A GRADUATION PRAYER
God, we thank you for these graduating students. We
pray that you will give them direction, purpose, and
perseverance as they enter the next phrase of their
lives. Give them clearness of mind to move forward
into the plans and purposes that You have for them.
May these young people gain wisdom from You and
have discernment for proper behavior. We pray that
they will rise above ungodly behaviors and have the
boldness to stand up for what is right wherever they
work, study, or socialize. Grant them success for
their efforts at every turn and guide their feet to
follow Your ways. May they be eager to do good
and not evil all the days of their lives. Use them in
might ways, Dear Father. In Jesus name, amen.
Warmest Congratulations to our graduates of Sacred
Heart Elementary and High Schools, as well as to all
the graduating classes of 2015 from all our
neighborhood public and private schools! May God
Bless all students and their families abundantly, and
