We are having a meeting on Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00pm in the
parish office for our St. Michael / St. Malachy Feast Day celebration.
We need your help. Please come and also invite someone else if you like
to attend this meeting regarding the plans for our special celebration.
We welcome all the groups as well as our parishioners to attend this
meeting.

Vamos a tener una reunión el martes, 15 de septiembre
a las 7:00 pm en la oficina de la parroquia para hacer
planes sobre nuestra celebración de la Fiesta de San
Miguel / San Malaquías. Necesitamos su ayuda. Por
favor venga y también inviten a alguien más si lo desea
asistir a esta reunión con respecto a los planes para
nuestra celebración especial. Deseamos que
todos los grupos y los de más feligreses asistan
a esta muy importante reunión.
Please take note that there will be ONLY ONE Sunday
mass at 10 a.m. Celebrating our unity as a parish the
mass will be bi-lingual, followed by a procession with
St. Michael (statue) and St. Malachy (painting). All of
this will be followed by a reception in the parish hall.
Please mark your calendars so that this will be a
wonderful and joyful event.
Por favor, tome nota que Solamente habrá una Misa
ese domingo a las 10 am. Celebrando nuestra unidad
como una parroquia la misa será bilingüe, seguida con
una procesión con la estatua de San Miguel y la
pintura de San Malaquías. Todo esto será seguido por
una recepción en el salón parroquial. Por favor marque

for Young Adults

Adoración para adultos jóvenes
In order to strengthen and enhance the sacredness
of prayer and an opportunity to learn more about
sacred scripture, Fr. Michael will be offering a
special time of prayer on Wednesday evenings
from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. beginning September 23rd in
the New Chapel in the parish office building, 2nd
floor. At present, this will focus on young adults
from ages 20 to 35. The beginning date will be
announced for sometime in late September.

Con el fin de fortalecer y mejorar la santidad de la
oración y la oportunidad de aprender más acerca
de la Sagrada Escritura, el P. Michael estará
ofreciendo un tiempo especial de oración los
miércoles de 7 p.m.-8 p.m. empezando el 23 de

parroquial, segundo piso. Por ahora, esto se

On Tuesday, September 29th 2015 (St. Michael’s Feast Day) we will be
having a special Mass with Bishop Octavio Cisneros for the
installation of Fr. Michael Sevigny as Pastor of this Parish. We will be
having a bilingual Mass at 7 p.m. for this very special occasion.

celebraremos una Misa especial con el Obispo Octavio Cisneros para P. Michael Sevigny que

Why do we celebrate Catechetical Sunday?
In 1935, the Vatican published On the Better Care and Promotion of Catechetical Education, a document that
asks every country to acknowledge the importance of the Church’s teaching ministry and to honor those who
serve the Christian community as catechists.
CCD begins September 19th We want every child or teenager that has
registered to attend catechism class here at St. Michael / St. Malachy to
bring their parent (Mom or Dad) to their first class on Saturday, September
19th here at the Parish Office located at 284 Warwick St.

¿Por qué celebramos el Domingo Catequético?
En 1935, el Vaticano publicó Sobre el mejor cuidado y promoción de la educación catequética, un documento
que pide a todos los países reconocer la importancia del ministerio de enseñanza de la Iglesia y honrar a
aquellos que sirven a la comunidad cristiana como catequistas.
Clases de Catecismo empieza el sábado, 19 de septiembre queremos
que todos los niños o jóvenes que se ha inscrito para asistir a clase de
catecismo aquí en San Miguel/ San Malaquías que triga a sus padres (mamá o
papá) a su primera clase el sábado, 19 de septiembre aquí en el 284 de la
calle Warwick.
