CATHOLIC COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGN
This weekend our par ish will take up the Catholic Communications Campaign. This collection communicates
the Gospel through Catholic social media activities and enriches our faith through podcasts, television, radio and print
media. Half of all proceeds remain in our (arch) diocese and
support local needs. Please be generous in this collection.

participate in 10 days of intense prayer
and walk in the footsteps of Jesus.

MEMORIAL DAY - HOLIDAY
Monday, May 25th is Memor ial Day and a National Holiday.
There will be Mass at 9:00am only. Due to the holiday, there will
be no Exposition of the Eucharist or Benediction. The Church will
close immediately following the 9:00am Mass. The Rectory office
will also be closed. Enjoy the weekend.

CONFESSIONS
There will be NO Confessions on Saturday, May 23rd from
11:00am to 12:00pm. Pr iests will be par ticipating in the ordination of Daniel Diaz as a Deacon. Confessions will be available
from 7:00pm to 8:00pm that night.
PARISH SUPPORT INITIATIVE
Many parishioners understand the need for everyone to participate in our Parish Support Program. At Blessed Sacrament
Church, this participation will mean different things to different
people depending on the present degree of support, such as:

On Tuesday, May 26th, 2015 we will have available the
Mass Book for the 2016 Intentions. Please stop by the Rectory and book your intentions from Monday to Friday from
9:00am to 12:00pm and from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Register in Blessed Sacrament to establish membership.

2. Increase your weekly donation to Blessed Sacrament Church.
FOUNDATIONS FOR MINISTRY PROGRAM
Are you thinking about volunteering for a parish ministry? Are you already in a ministry but need an update on the teachings of the Catholic
Church? Are you interested in deepening your faith? Perhaps the Pastoral
Institute’s Foundations for Ministry Program is for you! This 10-week
program, designed for adult learners, covers a different topic each week.
For example, The Emerging Role of the Laity; Jesus: His Message, His
Ministry; and One Church, Many Faces. Classes begin in September and
are being offered in Brooklyn and in Queens. In addition to English and
Spanish, the program is also being offered in Mandarin and Polish. If you

PEREGRINAJE A TIERRA SANTA
Este fin de semana nuestr a par r oquia r ealizar a la Colecta
para la Campaña Católica de la Comunicación. Esta colecta
comunica el Evangelio a través de actividades en el los medios
sociales católicos y enriquece nuestra fe a través de los podcasts, la televisión, lar radio y la prensa escrita. La mitad de los
recaudado permanece en nuestra (aquí) diócesis y financia las
necesidades locales. Contribuya generosamente a esta colecta.
Bajo la dirección de Padre Carlos y Madre María, como acompañantes, se invita
a todos los miembros de nuestra Parroquia.

DIA CONMEMORATIVO - VACACIONES
El día Lunes 25 de Mayo es un día Conmemor ativo Nacional.
La Misa se celebrará a las 9:00am solamente. No habrá Exposición de la Eucaristía ni Bendición. La Iglesia de cerrará inmediatamente después de la Misa de 9:00am. La Casa parroquial también se cerrará. Que disfruten el fin del semana.
CONFESIONES
El Sábado 23 de Mayo, de 11:00am a 12:00pm NO habrá Confesiones debido a que los sacerdotes estarán participando de la Misa de ordenación de Daniel Díaz como Diacono. Tendremos confesiones en este día de 7:00pm a 8:00pm.
PROGRAMA DE APOYO PARROQUIAL
Muchos feligreses comprenden la necesidad de la participación de
todo el mundo en el Programa de Apoyo Parroquial. Para la Iglesia
del Santísimo Sacramento, participación significa distintas cosas a
distintas personas, como:
1. Registrarse en el Santísimo Sacramento para establecer residencia.
2. Usar los sobres de la parroquia para sus donaciones semanales.
3. Aumentar su compromiso semanal a la Iglesia del Santísimo
Sacramento.
Solo podemos cumplir con nuestros gastos diarios si se han aumentado los ingresos. Cada uno de nosotros es consciente de los gastos
de la financiación de nuestros propios hogares. Lo mismo es cierto
de nuestra parroquia. Cualquier cosa que decida, su regalo debe
tener alguna relación con como se vive y ser proporcionales a su
capacidad.
Nuestra metas son:
1. Inscribir mas feligreses y
2. Llegar a un aumento en el que podamos cumplir con nuestros
gastos cotidianos.

LATIN AMERICAN SAINT
Catholics of Latin America, especially those of El Salvador,
are rejoicing in the coming beatification of A rchbishop Oscar
Arnulfo Romero, on Saturday May 23, in El Salvador. Archbishop Romero was assassinated while celebrating Mass in
the Chapel of Divine Providence Hospital in San Salvador on
March 24, 1980. The Prefect of the Congregation for the
Causes of Saints, Cardinal Angelo Amato, will preside over
the beatification ceremony . Father Carlos, who lived through
the civil war in El Salvador and went into exile with his family to Canada, will concelebrate this Solemn Mass of Beatification. We share in the joy of this recognition by the Church of this
man of God who was so devoted to the defense of the lives of the
poorest and prophetically proclaimed the kingdom of God. Christians around the world have already recognized this martyr for the
faith by their faith and devotion: San Romero de America!

Pope Francis has asked all Catholics worldwide to use the months ahead
as a time of preparation and prayer for the World Meeting of Families to
be held in Philadelphia, September 2015. Pope Francis will be with us
during that Congress. Pope Francis prayed; "Let every family be a welcome place of goodness and peace for children and the elderly, for the
sick and the lonely, for the poor and the needy. Let us pray for our own
family's personal intentions here at Blessed Sacrament Parish. Love is our
Mission: the Family Fully alive
Los Católicos de América Latina, especialmente los de El
Salvador celebraran el Sábado 23 de Mayo la beatificación de
Monseñor Oscar Arnulfo Romero, quien era arzobispo de San
Salvador cuando fue asesinado el 24 de Marzo de 1980 mientras celebraba la Eucaristía en la capilla del Hospital de la
Divina Providencia en San Salvador. La ceremonia de beatificación será presidida por el prefecto de la Congregación para
la Causa de los Santos, Cardenal Ángelo Amato. El Padre
Carlos, quien vivió de cerca la guerra civil que vivió su país de
origen y tuvo que exiliarse con su familia en Canadá, participará y concelebrara la solemne misa de beatificación. Compartamos
con alegría por ese reconocimiento de la Iglesia a un hombre que se
consagro totalmente por defender la vida de los mas pobres y anunciar
proféticamente el Reino de Dios. Los cristianos del mundo entero ya
habían reconocido y proclamado con su fe y devoción: San Romero de
América!
El Papa Francisco ha pedido a todos los católicos de todo el mundo a utilizar los próximos meses como un tiempo de preparación y la oración por el
Encuentro Mundial de las Familias que se celebrará en Filadelfia, de septiembre de 2015. El Papa Francisco estará con nosotros durante ese Congreso. Papa Francisco oró; "Que cada familia sea un lugar de bienvenida
de la bondad y la paz para los niños y los ancianos, a los enfermos ya los
que están solos, para los pobres y los necesitados. Oremos por las intenciones personales de nuestra propia familia aquí en Santo Sacramento de la
Parroquia. El amor es nuestra Misión: la Familia totalmente vivo.
