Imperfect… • To talk about what you used to do or what you were doing in the past use the imperfect. The imperfect past tense • • • • • • • Weather Age Time USED TO DO Periodically Physical & Personality Emotions • 1. All of the –ar verbs are regular in the imperfect tense • 2. The –er and –ir verbs share the same endings. • 3. All verbs have a written accent on the “nosotros” form. -ar endings Yo - aba Tú - abas Él/Ella/Ud. - aba Nosotros - ábamos Vosotros - -abais Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes - aban -er and -ir Yo Tú -ía Nosotros íamos - ías íais Él/Ella/Ud.
