32ND SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME
SECOND COLLECTION
This weekend, the Second Collection is our Maintenance
& Repair Collection. These funds help with the r epair
and restoration of the parish buildings. Thank you for your
generosity and support.
FUEL COLLECTION
Next weekend, November 12th & 13th, 2016 the second
collection will be taken up to help offset the costs of heating the church. Thank you for your generosity.
VETERAN’S DAY
On Friday, November 11, 2016 is Veteran’s Day. The Rectory
Office will be closed for the holiday. There will be
ONLY the 9:00am Mass. The Chur ch will close after 9:00am
Mass. On this day, let us remember the Veterans of past years in
our prayers. Let us not forget those presently serving our country
in the Armed Forces around the world. Enjoy the holiday!

OUR LADY OF CHARITY
ELECTION’S DAY - November 8th
Voting is one of our most important responsibilities as citizens.
Indeed, the Church teaches that there are three primary responsibilities of all citizens:
-To pay Taxes
-to defend their country
-to vote (Catechism of the Catholic Church,# 2240)
Each of these responsibilities asks us to put the good of the society and our fellow citizens above our individual desires and needs.
We just need to remember that the moral teaching of our church is
about more than prohibitions. We Catholics are invited to respond
to the basics needs of human beings -food, shelter, health care,
education, and employment. We are calling, following Pope Francis's words, to welcome refugees and immigrants, to build bridges
and not walls in order to unite God's people, and protect the environment.
Working for the Common Good where human rights are protected
and basic responsibilities met should be another way to guide us
as we enter the voting booth. More important as a Latinos we
should participate in the solutions of the social problems of this,
our country. So we are encouraged to be part of the solution and
not the problem and Vote on Nov. 08. If we are registered to vote,
Catholics must be in agreement that it is a fundamental moral
obligation: "to help build a more just and peaceful world through
morally acceptable means, so that weak and vulnerable are protected and human rights and dignity are defended" (FC, 20).
It is my prayer that we can take our hopes, concerns, and worries
to the Lord and ask for His guidance. As a Christians, we cannot
accept to be guided by fear and hate and the insults and stigmatization or prejudices against our brothers and sisters. Love must
be our distinctive way to proceed and act in every single occasion
to reveal our Faith and our values.

INFORMATION TO OUR
PARISH COMMUNITY
This Sunday, November 6th, the restored
image will be blessed after the 10:00am
Mass. The beautiful and restored statue
of Our Blessed Mother, Virgin Mary, is
radiant and inspiring. It is located in the
Church garden.
Pope Francis received, last August 2015, when he visited
Cuba, the statue of Our Lady of Charity. The Diocese of
Brooklyn-Queens and Bishop Octavio Cisneros picked
Blessed Sacrament Church as one of the parishes to be visited by Our Blessed Mother as Our Lady of Charity.
Our Lady will travel as follows:
1. Friday, November 11th, - 7:30pm Mass at St. Joan of
Arc in Jackson Heights.
2. Sunday, November 13th, - 10:30am Mass at St.
Michel’s Church in Flushing.
3. Sunday, November 20th, - 10:00am Mass at Blessed
Sacrament Church in Jackson Heights. Our Blessed
Mother will stay with us until the Thanksgiving Mass.
Everybody is invited to be part of such honor!
GENERATIONS OF FAITH CAMPAIGN
Remember to keep active your promise to
the “Generations of Faith Campaign” and
to help make the necessary repairs in our
Parish.
Please use the envelopes sent by the Campaign Office or bring your own envelopes
properly identified. All payments that we receive are sent to the
Diocese every week. Although we have surpassed the goal of
$950,000 and promises of almost $1,400,000 was obtained, that
amount has NOT yet been received. Only if we keep our promise, can we make a reality the goals proposed to help our Bishop
and our Parish.

El voto es una de nuestras responsabilidades más importantes como ciudadanos. En efecto, la Iglesia enseña que hay tres principales responsabilidades de todos los ciudadanos:

Este Domingo 6 de Noviembre, la imagen
restaurada será bendecida después de la Misa
de 10:00am. Esta bella imagen de Nuestra
Señora Virgen María restaurada luce radiante
e inspiradora en el jardín de la Iglesia.
El pasado mes de Agosto de 2015, el Papa Francisco, cuando recibió Cuba, recibió una estatua de nuestra Santa Madre - Ntra. Sra. De la Caridad del Cobre. La Diócesis de
Brooklyn-Queens y el Obispo Octavio Cisneros han elegido
a la Iglesia del Santísimo Sacramento como una de la parroquias que serán visitadas por Nuestra Santa Madre.
La visita será como sigue:
1. Viernes 11 de Noviembre: 7:30pm Misa en la Iglesia
de Santa Juana de Arco en Jackson Heights.
2. Domingo 13 de Noviembre: 10:30am Misa en la Iglesia de San Miguel en Flushing.
3. Domingo 20 de Noviembre: 10:00am Misa en la Iglesia del Santísimo Sacramento en Jackson Heights.
Nuestra Santa Madre-Ntra. Sra. De la Caridad del Cobre se quedará con nosotros hasta la Misa de Acción de
Gracias.

CAMPAÑA “GENERACIONES DE FE”
Recuerden mantener activos sus ofrecimientos para poder realizar las reparaciones tan
necesarias para la Iglesia. Usen Por favor
Los sobres enviados por la oficina de la
Campaña o traiga sus propios sobres debidamente identificados.
Semanalmente enviamos todos los ofrecimientos o pagos para la
Campaña. Aunque hayamos superado la Meta de $950,000 y se
obtuvo promesas de casi $1,400,000 ese monto todavía NO se ha
hecho efectivo. Solo si mantenemos al día nuestra promesa podemos hacer realidad los fines propuestos de ayudar a nuestro Obispo y a nuestra Comunidad.

THANKSGIVING MASS
Our one Mass on November 24th, 2016 at
10:00am will be a bilingual Mass. Please
join us as a parish community to give thanks
to God for the many blessings in our lives.
You may bring some non-perishable food
items (canned goods, dry goods, etc.) or cash
to help stock St. Leo’s and St. Teresa’s Food
Pantries, our local collaborative ministry.
Thank you for your generosity.
Work of Mercy: Give food to the hungry
(St. Leo distributes food every last Wednesday of the month and St. Teresa every
Tuesday)

En el Día de Acción de Gracias, 24 de Noviembre,
