Rite of Welcoming
At the Vigil Mass this weekend, the Rite of Welcoming will be celebrated for Eduardo Barrera, Aurora
Diaz, Rachel Guerrero, Brian Kobler, Jennifer Kobler,
Janice Lucha, Ana Yedi Medel, Araceli Rodriguez,
Dennis Studebaker, Patricia VandenBerg, Gerardo
Virelas, Joe Walsh, and John Walsh. All are baptized. Some of them were baptized in other Christian churches and now wish to be received into full
communion in the Catholic Church. They will receive the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy
Communion at the Easter Vigil as will those in the
group who are baptized Catholic and have not
received First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

En la Misa de vigilia este fin de semana, el rito de
bienvenida se celebrará para Eduardo Barrera, Aurora Diaz, Rachel Guerrero, Brian Kobler, Jennifer Kobler, Janice Lucha, Ana Yedi Medel, Araceli Rodríguez, Dennis Studebaker, Patricia VandenBerg, Gerardo Virelas, Joe Walsh y John Walsh. Todos son
bautizados. Algunos de ellos fueron bautizados en
otras iglesias cristianas y ahora desean ser recibidos
en plena comunión en la Iglesia Católica. Van a recibir los sacramentos de la Confirmación y Eucaristía
en la Vigilia Pascual, igual que aquellos en el grupo
que son bautizados en la fe católica y no han recibido
la Primera comunión ni la Confirmación.

Church in Latin America/Holy Father
The Church in Latin America and The Holy Father
(Pope Francis) are two church needs that will be
supported through this collection. The Church in
Latin America needs financial support to assist with
the formation and education of future priests, lay
ministry, catechist formation, youth ministry, and
various pastoral agencies. The Holy Father uses the
money to assist those around the world who are
rebuilding their lives following the tragedies of war,
famine, and natural disasters.

La Iglesia en América Latina y el Santo Padre (Papa
Francisco) son dos necesidades de la Iglesia que serán
apoyadas a través de esta colecta. La Iglesia en América Latina necesita apoyo financiero para ayudar a la
formación y educación de los futuros sacerdotes, ministerios de los laicos, formación de catequistas, pastoral juvenil y diversas organizaciones pastorales. El

ceramics, and wood products from Concern America were displayed. As a community of the faithful,
you were generous in purchasing handcrafts valued at $923.00. We are very grateful to Father
O’Sullivan for his hospitality and support, to volunteers who staffed the sale, and to everyone who
purchased handcrafts. Through your generosity you
have helped to spread hope for a better future to
hundreds of economically disadvantaged people
in many developing countries throughout the world.

St. Rose School Celebrates National Catholic
Schools Week -- January 25-31
Parish Mass on Sunday, January 25th
Students, school families, school administrators and
the school faculty will attend the 9:00 a.m. Mass
next Sunday. Parishioners are invited to join them in
beginning National Catholic Schools Week at this
Eucharistic celebration. Around the Lord’s Table we
will celebrate and give thanks for the gift of Catholic school education. St. Rose’ history of this gift
dates back to 1931 – a truly rich experience.
Misa Parroquial, Domingo 25 de Enero
Estudiantes, familias de la escuela, administradores
escolares y la Facultad de la escuela asistirán a la
Misa de 9:00AM el próximo domingo. Los feligreses
están invitados a unirse a ellos en el comienzo de la

Rent Right Mentors: Are you interested in helping
people find housing? The Rent Right Mentor/Tutor
works closely with Rent Right students in a classroom
setting, helping them understand and complete
assignments, while providing support and encouragement. Volunteers help teach skills like professional writing, budgeting and communication skills
to help families search out and find a home. Two 8week courses begin January 20th and February 4th.

Rent Right Mentors: Busca en ayudar a la gente a
encontrar una casa o apartamento? El Rent Right
Mentor/Tutor trabaja en estrecha colaboración con los
estudiantes en un entorno de aula, ayudarles a entender y terminen las tareas, proporcionando apoyo y
aliento. Los voluntarios ayudarán a enseñar habilidades como competencias profesionales de la escritura,
la presupuestarían y la comunicación para ayudar a
las familias a buscar y encontrar un hogar. Dos cursos
de 8 semanas comenzarán el 20 de enero y el 4 de febrero.
Spiritual Enrichment Center News
The Spiritual Enrichment Center begins a mini Bible
study on Matthew’s Gospel, centered on The Sermon on the Mount. Jesus drew huge crowds with his
powerful message of forgiveness and inclusion. This
same truth and message is being re-asserted by
Pope Francis. There will be four lectures on Monday
nights, beginning January 19th, 7:00-8:30 p.m. in
Room A of the St. Rose Parish Center. Jo Beth

El centro de enriquecimiento espiritual comienza un
mini estudio de la Biblia en el Evangelio de Mateo,
centrado en el sermón del Monte. Jesús atrajo multitudes con su poderoso mensaje de perdón y de inclusión. Esta misma verdad y mensaje está siendo re reivindicado por Papa Francis.
