TRIP TO THE SHRINE OF ST. JUDE
Our parish society, “Altagracianas”, is conducting a bus trip to the Shrine of St. Jude in Baltimore, Maryland.

FROM FR. CARLOS’ DESK
Thank you for your generosity and participation through your financial support to Blessed Sacrament Parish. We have been able to continue needed repairs and improvements of our parish buildings. In
less than a year, and thanks to your goodness, we have made extraordinary physical and spiritual enhancements to our beloved parish. It is
important for us to pause, remember, and give thanks to God for these
positives initiatives…
-Church Bells restauration.
-A new parking gate - allows us to feel more secure at the rectory.
-A restored Monstrance by the front of the church which now gives a
new and inspiring look to our Parish.
-After the flood that caused serious damage, we completed necessary
repairs to the Church floors.
- A new sound system in Valero Hall which permits us to better gather and make very good use of our parish meeting space.
-Ongoing renovations in the Convent to move our CCD offices obtaining a better use of our buildings.
-Restauration of the wall in the boiler’s room which have deteriorated due to different floods.
-Reconstruction of floor that connects the old school with the new
school buildings as well as the old school steps.
-New high tech lights for the Church.
-We are also in the process of reorganizing our Parish Council, as
well as the Financial Committee- inviting leaders of our different
parish groups to be members of the new council.
Indeed, we continue to depend on your prayers and support. Stewardship is the Gospel way for believers to assume full responsibility of
the church and to generously support the work of the church through
the self-less offer of time, talent and treasure. As your Administrator,
I thank you for your stunning sense of Stewardship and reassure each
and every one of you my heartfelt gratitude for your love and service
to Blessed Sacrament Parish!

JESUIT COLLABORATIVE
Blessed Sacrament Parish and The Jesuit Collaborative (an institution interested in helping people to draw closer to God by learning
to practice the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius) is pleased to invite you for the second time to join us for the Day of Ignatian Reflection in Spanish, which will take place on Saturday, October 31
from 9am until 3pm in the Valero Hall. The event is aim to teach
people how to pray and to make better decisions in life. Everyone
over 18 is welcomed. The event includes breakfast and a brief
lunch. You are required to registered previous to the event by calling at 1-718-639-3888. We ask for a donation of $15 per person.

the New York Blood Center will conduct a Blood Drive

WORLD YOUTH DAY 2016
50/50 RAFFLE
We want to invite our community to purchase some tickets to help
the Youth Group to reunite with the Pope in Poland. Tickets are
available in the Religious Store, Parish Offices and any participant
to WYD. Remember, by helping them you win as well! The Raffle will take place the first Sunday of each month. Next Raffle will
be on November 1st, 2015 during the 7:00am Mass. Winning
number will be announced in the following bulletin.
FLEA MARKET AND FOOD SALE

SEGUNDA COLECTA
Este fine de semana, la Segunda Colecta es par a el Mantenimiento & Restauración de los edificios de la Parroquia. Agr adecemos su generosidad y ayuda.
JORNADA MISIONERA MUNDIAL
El Próximo Domingo es la Jornada Misionera Mundial. La segunda colecta permite ayudar el trabajo de los misioneros en todo el
mundo. Su generosidad permitirá extender la labor misionera en
los lugares mas necesitados del mundo.
DIA DE COLON
El Lunes 12 de Octubre del 2015, la Oficina de la Casa Parroquial
estará cerrada en conmemoración del Día de Colón. Después de la
Misa de 9:00am la Iglesia se cerrará.
DESDE EL ESCRITORIO DE FR. CARLOS
Agradezco su participación y generosidad con la Parroquia del Santísimo
Sacramento. Ha sido posible continuar con reparaciones necesarias y
mejoras en los edificios de la parroquia. En menos de un año y gracias a
su bondad, hemos logrado hacer cambios físicos y espirituales extraordinarios. Es importante que nos detengamos, recordemos y demos gracias
a Dios por estas iniciativas positivas…
-Restauración de las Campanas de la Iglesia.
-Un nuevo portón en el estacionamiento que nos permite sentirnos mas
seguros en la Casa Parroquial.
-La Custodia que decora la entrada principal de la Iglesia ha sido restaurada dándole a nuestra Iglesia una vista inspiradora.
-Partes del piso de la Iglesia ha sido reparado después de la inundación
que causo serios daños.
-El nuevo sistema de sonido en el Salón Valero permitirá que las reuniones sean mas amenas haciendo un mejor uso del espacio de encuentro
parroquial.
-Renovaciones en el Convento para trasladar las Oficinas del Catecismo
sacando el mayor provecho a los espacio de los edificios parroquiales.
-Restauración de las paredes del cuarto del calentador de agua de la Iglesia que se han deteriorado debido a las diferentes inundaciones.
-Reconstrucción del piso que une la antigua escuela con la nueva y las
gradas de la escuela antigua.
-Nuevas Luces de alta tecnología para la Iglesia.
-También estamos en el proceso de organizar nuestro “Consejo Parroquial” así como también el “Comité Financiero” invitando a lideres de
los diferentes grupos parroquiales a ser miembros del Nuevo Consejo.
De hecho, seguimos dependiendo de sus oraciones y apoyo. La mayordomía es el camino del Evangelio para los creyentes a asumir toda la responsabilidad de la iglesia y para apoyar generosamente el trabajo de la
iglesia a través del ofrecimiento desinteresado de tiempo, talento y tesoro. Como el Administrador, les doy las gracias por su impresionante
sentido de mayordomía y asegurarles a todos y cada uno de ustedes mi
mas sincera gratitud por su amor y servicio a la Parroquia del Santísimo
Sacramento.

JESUITA COLABORATIVA
La Parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento junto con La Colaborativa Jesuita (una organización empeñada en ayudar a las personas para acercarse mas a Dios por medio de los Ejercicios Espirituales de San Ignacio)
se complacen en invitarles por segunda ocasión a una Jornada de Reflexión Ignaciana para aprender a orar y tomar mejores decisiones en la
vida. El evento de formación espiritual está abierto para todos los miembros de la parroquia mayores de 18 años. El evento se llevará a cabo el
Sábado 31 de Octubre de 8am a 3pm en el Salón Valer o. El evento
incluye desayuno y un breve almuerzo. Es necesario que se inscriban
llamando al 1-718-639-3888. Se solicita una ofrenda de $15 dólares por

El Programa de Educación Religiosa de nuestra parroquia busca personas
que deseen servir a los niños de nuestra comunidad. Se necesita ayuda

VIAJE AL SANTUARIO DE SAN JUDAS TADEO
La Asociación Altagraciana, está planeando un viaje en autobús al Santuario de San Judas Tadeo en

El Domingo 18 de Octubre del 2015 de 9:30am a 3:30pm
el Centro de Sangre de la Ciudad de Nueva York, pide la
colaboración a toda la comunidad para donar sangre, el
banco de sangre estará instalado frente a la Iglesia. Donen una pinta de su sangre para salvar una vida.

RCIA will begin in the fall and will continue until after Easter of 2016. Formerly, these classes were called Convert Instruction. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) RCIA has shifted its
approach from a private commitment of conversation to a communal commitment. RCIA is an adult faith is a process leading
to reception into full communion with the Catholic Church. Do
you feel the Holy Spirit calling you to enter into full communion
with the Catholic Church? If you have ever reflected on making
such a decision, be at Peace! God, the Holy Spirit, is calling you
and He will lead you. We, the parish of Blessed Sacrament,
rejoice with you as you seek to respond to God’s call. The RCIA
process will help you to grow in Faith and understanding of the
teachings of Jesus and His Church If you, or someone you

RITO DE INICIACION CRISTIANA
PARA ADULTOS (RICA)
El RICA (Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos) Comenzara
en el otoño continuando hasta la Pascua de 2016. Inicialmente
estas clases se llamaban de Conversión. RICA cambio su enfoque
de un compromiso privado de conversión a un compromiso comunitario. RICA es un proceso de formación de la fe para adultos
que lleva a la recepción de una comunión completa con la Iglesia
Católica. ¿Siente usted que el Espíritu Santo le llama para entrar
en completa comunión con la Iglesia Católica? Si usted ha pensado en tomar esta decisión, ¡siéntase tranquilo! Dios, el Espíritu
Santo, le está llamando y Él le guiará. Nosotros, la Parroquia del
Santísimo Sacramento, nos alegramos con usted en su búsqueda a
