MINISTRY TO THE SICK & HOMEBOUND
Call the parish office to make arrangements to administer this
sacrament for one who is sick or homebound or in the hospital.
The Parish Priests visit the sick & homebound and administer
the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the
sacrament of the sick on the First Friday of the month.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist bring Holy Communion to the sick and homebound on weekends.

MATRIMONIO
Call the parish office and make an appointment with one of the
parish priests for the required preparations and to set the wedding date. Ordinarily preparations will take at least six months.
QUINCEAÑERAS
Call one of the parish priests to make an appointment to set the
quinceañera date. The quinceañera is expected to have received
all three Sacraments of initiation. Baptism, Holy Communion
and Confirmation. The family is expected to be registered and
worship in the parish. Preparations will take at least six months.

‘You are my beloved Son, in you I am well pleased.’
Thus right from the start of his public ministry, Jesus received affirmation from his Father.
One of the deepest needs of the human heart is the
need to be appreciated and validated. Every human
being wants to be valued.
We all need someone who will help us unfold. We need
someone to believe in us, who will help us to be ourselves.
We need someone who understands us, someone who
can see the hidden self in us that is perhaps afraid to
come out into the open.
Only such a person will help us to share all we are, making
us believe in our own God given goodness, and awakening in us a desire to share it with others.
At our Baptism God chose, called out from many peoples, and sent God parents for us, to grow with us in wisdom and awe of God. Even though they are only human
and fragile like you and me, they bear testimony of the
tender love and care they share with our parents here on
earth. They look at us and ponder on the smiling face of
God.
At our Baptism we became children of the Father and we
received the all-powerful gift of the Holy Spirit. This Holy
Spirit inspires us, guides us to unfold, bloom and grow, to
bring His love, His compassion, and His tender loving care
to our brothers and sisters. Thus we become more and
more pleasing in the sight of our Heavenly Father.
SPONSORS’ MEETINGS
The Young men and women of our Parish of the Confirmation Class 2011 and First Holy Communion Class of 2011,
may have by now requested some of you to be their sponsors for the upcoming reception of the sacraments.
Sponsors are chosen to be companions along the way of
Faith. As a companion, a sponsor affirms the awareness
and insights of this Sacrament and Catholic way of living.
The Confirmands, First Holy Communicants, their parents
and Sponsors are expected to attend these meetings
which will take place in the Parish Hall at 7pm.

FIXING GOD’S HOUSE
NOW it is our Time to:
Celebrate the Past and Embrace the Future
Please do not forget our commitment to maintain this
legacy with integrity and loving devotion, so that we
can hand it (the Church of All Souls) down with utmost joy and pride to our younger generation.
Recently we completed the Dryvitt Top Coat and Clear Seal on
the exterior walls of our Church. The work-in-progress on the
repairs and maintenance continues. Thanks to you for your support and generosity. Now, plans are being put in place for the
interior painting of our Church, which is scheduled to take place
sometime in the month of February 2011.
The next projects in our ‘on-going Campaign for “FIXING GOD’S
HOUSE” are: the fixing and restoration of the Narthexes
(entrances of the Church) and Windows in the Baptistery of our
Church, the replacement and redesigning of the Church Steel
doors, & Wooden doors and upgrade the Church restrooms in
order to bring them up to code. As of today, we have received a
total of $ 355,002.13. As per the last financial report we spent $
238,648.07. Whatever gift you can make towards this noble cause
will be always appreciated — God blesses a generous giver!
ARCHBISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL 2010
Each year our Archbishop requests our help to support
him to operate the central Archdiocesan offices in order
to coordinate resources of various parishes in the Archdiocese. The cost of this endeavor is distributed among
parishes in our three counties of San Mateo, San Francisco and Marin. Our share of the cost this year is $
53,200.00.
As of date we have received $ 45,975.00 in cash,
checks & credit cards & $3,480.00 in the form of
pledges amounting to a total of $ 49,455.00 which is
92.96% of our goal. The Balance is $ 3,745.00.
We thank all those who have generously contributed
and urge those who haven't yet done so, to please join
in our efforts to reach our goal. Thank You!!!

EL BAUTISMO DEL SEÑOR
Reflexiones del Párroco:
Éste es mi Hijo muy amado, en quien tengo
mis complacencias.
Desde el comienzo de su ministerio público. Jesús recibió afirmación de Su Padre. Una de las necesidades
más grandes del corazón humano es la necesidad de
ser apreciado y valuado. Todo ser humano quiere ser
valorado.
Todos necesitamos a alguien que nos ayude a desarrollarnos. Necesitamos que alguien crea en nosotros, que
nos ayude a ser nuestra propia persona. Necesitamos a
alguien que nos comprenda, alguien que pueda ver
nuestro interior el cual tenemos miedo de revelar.
Solo aquella persona nos ayudará a compartir todo lo
que somos, haciéndonos creer en nuestra propia bondad que Dios nos ha dado, y despertando en nosotros
un deseo de compartirlo con otros.
En nuestro Bautizo Dios escogió, llamo entre muchas personas, y mandó Padrinos para nosotros, para crecer con
nosotros en sabiduría y asombro de Dios. Aunque solo
sean humanos y frágiles como tú y yo, hacen testimonio
del tierno amor y cuidado que comparten con nuestros
padres aquí en la tierra. Nos miran y reflexionan en la
sonrisa de Dios.
En nuestro bautismo nos convertimos en niños del Padre
y recibimos el todopoderoso Don del Espíritu Santo. Este
Espíritu Santo nos inspira, nos guía a desarrollarnos, madurar y crecer, para llevar Su amor, Su compasión y Su
tierna atención amorosa a nuestros hermanos y hermanas. Así, nos convertimos más y más agradables a la
vista de nuestro Padre Celestial.
JUNTA PARA LOS PADRINOS
Los jóvenes de nuestra Parroquia en la clase de Confirmación del 2011 y clase de Primer Comunión del 2011, ya
deben de haber solicitado a algunos de ustedes que los
apadrinen para la próxima recepción de los Sacramentos.
Padrinos son elegidos para ser compañeros por el camino
de la Fe. Como compañero, un padrino afirma la conciencia y la perspicacia de este Sacramento y manera
de vivir Católica.
Los Confirmandi, Clase 2011 de Primera Comunión, sus
padres y Padrinos son esperados atender estas juntas en
el Salón Parroquial a las 7pm.

ARREGLANDO LA CASA DE DIOS
AHORA es nuestro Tiempo para:
Celebrar el Pasado y Abrazar el Futuro
Por favor no olviden nuestro compromiso de mantener
esta herencia con integridad y devoción amorosa, para
poder pasárselo (la Iglesia de All Souls) con alegría y orgullo a la
generación que viene.
Recientemente completamos la capa final Drywitt y sellamos con un
sellador en los muros exteriores de nuestra Iglesia. El trabajo continúa en progreso de la reparación y mantenimiento. Gracias a ustedes por su apoyo y generosidad. Ahora, planes se están haciendo
para pintar nuestra Iglesia por dentro, que está programado en
hacerse en el mes de Febrero del 2011.
Los próximos proyectos en nuestra Campaña contínua de
“Arreglando la Casa de Dios” es la reparación y restauración de los
Narthexes (entradas a la Iglesia) y Ventanas en el Bautismal de
nuestra Iglesia, el reemplazo de las puertas de acero y madera de la
Iglesia y actualizar los baños de la Iglesia para tenerlos a código.
Hasta hoy día, hemos recibido un total de $ 355,002.13 Según el último informe financiero gastamos $ 238,648.07. Cualquier donación
que pueda hacer hacia esta noble causa será siempre apreciada.

APELACIÓN ANUAL DEL ARZOBISPO 2010
Cada año nuestro Arzobispo pide nuestra ayuda para apoyarlo en operar las oficinas centrales de la Arquidiócesis a
fin de coordinar los esfuerzos y recursos de diversas parroquias de la Arquidiócesis. El costo de este esfuerzo se distribuye entre parroquias en nuestros tres condados de San
Mateo, San Francisco y Marin. Nuestra participación en el
costo de este año es $ 53,200.00.
Hasta la fecha hemos recibido $ 45,975.00 en efectivo,
cheques, y tarjetas de crédito y $ 3,480.00 en la forma de
promesas que ascienden a un total de $ 49,455.00 que es
el 92.96% de nuestra meta. Todavía faltan $ 3,745.00.
Agradecemos a estas familias generosas que ya han contribuido a este meta de la Apelación Anual del 2010 y les urgimos a quienes aún no lo han hecho, que por favor se
