TWENTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Dear Parishioners,
Peace and blessings!
Today in Rome, Mother Teresa of Calcutta will be canonized a saint in the
Roman Catholic Church. What a joy
for our Church to see a woman of our
times, one who lived the Gospel, to be
counted among the saints in the
Church.
I personally had the
opportunity to be in her company a few times. What
a true blessing! (We have a stained glass window
honoring her and St. John Paul. As you enter the
church it is on the back left side.)
Monday, September 5th, Bishops Jugis and
Curlin will offer a special Mass of Thanksgiving for the
gift of St. Teresa of Calcutta. The Mass will be at
11:00 at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Charlotte.
Everyone is invited.
What a blessing it is coming together as a
community here in Hendersonville and celebrate the
fruits of our work, both at the Apple Festival and with
a special Mass of Thanksgiving on Monday at 10:00.
Please bring a representation of the tools of your
labor for a special blessing at the end of Mass.

SYMPOSIUM ON CONVERSION: OPEN TO
ALL PARISHIONERS. September 24th the RCIA
Commission will hold a Symposium on Conversion at
St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Huntersville. Noted
national speakers will delve into the Theological,
Biblical and Pastoral aspects of Conversion. Also
included will be “conversion stories” from a former
Buddhist, a Jewish man, an atheist (parishioner) and a
woman who is now a cloistered Poor Clare
nun. Everybody is invited. $25 Registration includes

TWENTY-FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Please pray the 54-Day Rosary Novena with us that
GOD'S will be done in this coming election and in
our country. This 54-Day Rosary Novena is a
series of 6 nine-day novenas said one after the other.
One Rosary is said each day, praying the set of
Mysteries listed for that day, (Joyful, Luminous,
Sorrowful, or Glorious) with the Spiritual Communion
prayer after the Rosary. The first 27 days of three
9-Day Novenas are prayed for the petition: God's Holy
will be done in this election, and in this country. The
second 27 days of three 9-Day Novenas prayed for the
petition: Thanksgiving to God for hearing our petition,
whether or not we get the answer we desire. Our
Novena will begin on the 13th of September
commemorating one of the appearances of Our Lady
of Fatima, and will end on the 5th of November, the

THE SAINT FRANCIS SCHOLARSHIP FUND
was established to provide aid to deserving students
who require financial assistance to meet tuition at our
parish school, Immaculata Catholic School. It is
through your generous contributions using the “Gray
Envelope Offering,” found in your monthly offering
envelope package, that Immaculate Conception
Church has assisted many deserving parish families
meet their education tuition cost. You make the

Remember, the St. Francis Fund “Gray
Envelope Offering” is the 2nd (Second) Sunday of

23er Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario
Con referencia a las lecturas de este domingo el Papa Francisco nos dice que "Decidir seguirlo a Él,
nuestro Maestro y Señor que se ha hecho Siervo de todos, exige caminar detrás de Él y escucharlo
atentamente en su Palabra --acordaos de leer todos los días un pasaje del Evangelio-- y en los
Sacramentos" (Ángelus de 13 de septiembre de 2015). El Papa nos recomienda que para ser discípulo de
Cristo, debemos de practicar tres actitudes concretas. La primera es la disponibilidad, ser materia dispuesta
y dejar todo a segundo plano, hasta la propia vida para alcanzar la meta del Reino desde aquí en la tierra. La exigencia es
recompensada con la amistad y cercanía íntima con Jesús. La segunda es renunciar a nosotros mismos y tomar la cruz para
seguirlo. La cruz nos acerca a Jesús, y nos brinda la oportunidad de acompañarlo en la vida cotidiana. La última condición
es la renuncia de los propios bienes, compartiendo lo que tenemos con los más necesitados.
Seguir a Jesucristo no es fácil, pero nunca nos faltara su ayuda. ¿Crees esto? ¿Cuál de las tres actitudes te parece
más difícil? ¿Cuál es la más fácil? San Pablo nos ayuda a comprender estas actitudes llevando a cabo la caridad cristiana: "...
a fin de que lo recuperaras [a Onésimo] para siempre, pero ya no como esclavo, sino como algo mejor que un esclavo, como
hermano amadísimo". La enseñanza es amar como Cristo nos ha amado. ¿Lo haremos? Las limitaciones del ser humano son
muchas pero, si se abre el corazón a la sabiduría divina y al Santo Espíritu de Dios, todo puede ser superado.
Caminaba con Jesús una gran muchedumbre y él, volviéndose a sus discípulos, les dijo: "Si alguno quiere seguirme y no me prefiere a su padre y a su madre, a su esposa y a sus hijos, a sus hermanos y a sus hermanas, más
aún, a sí mismo, no puede ser mi discípulo. Y el que no carga su cruz y me sigue, no puede ser mi discípulo".

MISA MEMORIAL: Nuestra iglesia de la
Inmaculada Concepción ha cancelado la
Misa Memorial por la intención especial de
todos nuestros parientes o amigos difuntos
para este mes de abril. La próxima Misa Memorial se
llevara acabo el lunes, 12 de septiembre a las 7:00PM
en nuestra iglesia principal. Para mas información,

esfuerzos en su año escolar venidero para una

NOTICIAS DE FORMACION DE FE….
¡Bienvenidos a una temporada de nuevos comienzos
en nuestra Parroquia de la Inmaculada Concepción!
Nuestros niños han iniciado su año escolar académico
y nuestra Formación de Fe ya comenzó con las
reuniones con los padres en el gimnasio de la
Inmaculada. Las clases oficialmente comienzan la
segunda semana en septiembre.
En preparación para este año, muchos de nuestros
voluntarios quienes están involucrados en los ministerios de
enseñanzas asistieron a un retiro que tomo lugar en el
Campamento de Kadhalea en Brevard. Fue un tiempo
maravilloso lleno de oración y compañerismo donde observamos
lo esencial que es no solo para los niños, pero también para
nosotros los adultos, que estemos enamorados con Jesús y
descansemos en este conocimiento.
Enamorase es algo bastante misterioso. Es el deseo de cada
padre que los afectos de nuestros hijos sean colocados en el
compañero correcto para toda la vida. ¿Quién mejor que Jesús?
Al hablar sobre Él a los niños de cualquier edad debemos de
mantener la buena nueva de su amor en primer plano. Debemos
de pausar y reflexionar para saborear la palabra para que junto
podamos preguntar: “¿Quién eres tu Jesús? ¿Que me estás
diciendo esta escritura sobre ti? Algunas veces, nos aceleramos
muy rápido a una explicación intelectual o una exhortación
moral y detenemos los sentidos de asombro de los niños antes de
tiempo. Dios es el repartidor de dones quien pacientemente
espera una respuesta. Démosles tiempo suficiente a los niños
para que se deleiten en el amor de Dios por ellos. Solo entonces,
es que podrán mantenerse en Su Amor y en un tiempo
apropiado- ellos le darán a Dios la mejor de las respuestasalabanza y agradecimiento.
Por favor mantengan a todos nuestros catequistas y líderes de
grupos en sus oraciones.
El Congreso Eucarístico 2016: Este año el
decimo-primer Congreso Eucarístico de la
Diócesis de Charlotte ofrecerá programas para
niños, jóvenes adultos, adultos y para la comunidad Hispana los cuales se llevaran a cabo
el fin de semana del 9 y 10 de Septiembre del 2016 en
el Centro de Convenciones de la cuidad de Charlotte.

La parroquia de San Bernabé en
Arden, NC estará ofreciendo un
Curso de Planificación Familiar
Natural el Sábado, 1 de Octubre de
10:00AM a 2:00PM. Este curso explica una serie de
métodos para posponer un embarazo o para
lograrlo, basándose, por una parte, en la observación
de la fertilidad de la mujer, y, por otra, en la
adecuación de la actividad sexual de los esposos a
dicha fertilidad. Ayuda a vivir la paternidad de modo
responsable, tanto para concebir como para espaciar o
limitar los nacimientos. El curso es totalmente
gratuito y es promovido por Caridades Católicas de
nuestra Diócesis de Charlotte. Las parejas interesadas

PROTEGIENDO LOS NIÑOS DE DIOS: El
próximo taller de Protegiendo los Niños de Dios se

EL BAUTISMO
Los bautizos son el primer domingo del mes, después de
la Misa de la 1:30 PM. La clase de preparación, que es
un requisito para los padres y padrinos, tendrá lugar el
sábado a las 10 AM, en el Salón San Francisco. Por favor
lleven una copia del acta de nacimiento (No se aceptan
tarjetas, tiene que ser una acta con ambos nombres de
los papás). Requisitos para ser padrinos: Ser bautizado y
tener la intención de asumir las responsabilidades, tener
uso de razón, haber cumplido 18 años, estar confirmado,
haber hecho su Primera Comunión y llevar una vida de
fe. Los padrinos han de ser solteros o casados por la
Iglesia Católica. No pueden vivir en unión libre, ya que
deben de ser modelos de vida cristiana para los ahijados.
Para preguntas favor de llamar a Feliciano de la oficina al
693-6901. Los niños deben de tener la edad de 0 a 6
años. Si son mayores deberán atender la clase de la
Primera Comunión y un mes antes de terminar la
Primera Comunión serán Bautizados.
COMO
PEDIR
UNA
MISA
Para pedir una Misa por la intención de un ser querido,
difunto o vivo, llame a las oficinas de la iglesia al
693-6901 en horas laborales (lunes a jueves, 8:30AM4:30 PM, y viernes 8:30 AM-1:00 PM). Se necesita pedir
la Misa con al menos cuatro meses de anticipo. Se
acostumbra dar una ofrenda.
ALCOHÓLICOS ANÓNIMOS
Es una comunidad de hombres y mujeres que comparten
su mutua experiencia, fortaleza y esperanza para resolver
su problema común y ayudar a otros a recuperarse del
alcoholismo. El único requisito para ser miembro de
A.A. es tener el deseo de dejar la bebida. Para mas
información sobre los horarios, favor de llamar a 828708-2282 o 828-676-7903.
¿POR QUÉ DEBO REGISTRARME EN MI PARROQUIA? Registrarse es muy importante para poder inscribir
a sus hijos en el colegio Immaculata, para el matrimonio,
para bautizos, Quinceañeras, y para cartas de
recomendación (Inmigración) de la Iglesia diciendo que
usted pertenece a nuestra congregación. En los archivos
parroquiales estará su nombre y será fácil encontrarlo
cuando usted solicite algo. Cada mes se le enviaran los
sobres para la limosna con su nombre y cuando utiliza los
sobres de la donación, la oficina parroquial reconoce que
usted es un miembro activo de nuestra congregación. La
cantidad donada no importa, su ayuda sí. El paquete de
registración lo pueden encontrar en el cuarto de las novia (a
un lado de baño de las mujeres), y también puede ser
encontrado en la oficina de la iglesia.
TARJETAS DE COMPRA: Por favor recuerden comprar
sus tarjetas de compra de las tiendas de Ingles y Fresh
Market, después de la Misa para beneficiar a nuestra
escuela de la Inmaculada. Al comprar un tarjeta de
comparas, ustedes recibirán el valor total de que pagaron en
sus tarjetas y el 5% de sus compras de tarjetas beneficiaran
directamente a nuestra escuela de la Inmaculada. Para
obtener su tarjeta de compras, lo único que tienen que hacer
es pasar a la mesa de ventas a la salida de la iglesia.

LA PRESENTACIÓN DE LOS NIÑOS
Cada segundo domingo del mes se invita a los niños y
niñas que cumplen los tres años ese mes para recibir
una bendición especial, junto con sus padres y
padrinos. Al igual que José y María cuando llevaron al
Niño Jesús al templo para consagrarlo al Señor,
también reconocemos que los hijos son de Dios, y a Su
servicio y cuidado se los encomendamos. Para poder
participar, deberá darle al Padre Roberto un
papelito con el nombre del niño o la niña
claramente escrito antes de empezar la Misa. El
Padre Roberto los invitará a subir al santuario después
de la celebración de la Eucaristía.
INFORMACIÓN SOBRE DONDE CONSEGUIR AYUDA
Si quiere saber a donde y como conseguir ayuda para
atención médica, cuidado de niños, necesidades
básicas como comida, alojamiento, luz y agua,
consejería, u otros servicios humanitarios, solo tiene
que marcar el 2-1-1 y explicarle a la operadora cual es
su necesidad. Se habla español de 3 a 7 PM, y le darán
el nombre, dirección y teléfono de la agencia donde
puedan prestarle ayuda.
AVISO Puede conseguir muebles, r opa y ar tículos
para el hogar en el depósito del Buen Samaritano, a un
lado del Colegio Inmaculada. Abrimos los sábados de
10AM a 12PM.
También si usted tiene muebles,
artículos para donar en buena condición llame a la
oficina de la iglesia y pregunte por Feliciano para

MINISTERIO DE CUIDADO DE LOS ENFERMOS Si usted tiene algún familiar o conocido de la
comunidad que se encuentre enfermo y desea que se le
visité o se le lleve la Santa Comunión, bien sea en la
casa donde éste reside u hospital, puede comunicarse
con Feliciano de la oficina al 693-6901.

Nuestra iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción cuenta con

iglesia, al lado izquierdo de donde está la entrada
